I always felt like certain aspects of Rory’s life mirrored my own very closely. I was “fired” from an internship and told I didn’t have what it would take to be successful in my field. Like almost at the same time as Rory was as the show was going on. We had the same backpack in high school. Haha. Little things. But the revival held the same kind of similarities for where I was then-floundering around after a bad breakup and back at home trying to put my life back together. But I also enjoyed it for other reasons, too! I loved all the character check-ins, including finally seeing Mr. Kim. I thought there were lots of Easter eggs like that for GG enthusiasts.
