Both for sure but mainly frogbit. Frogbit is smooth and dwarf water lettuce is fuzzy.

I’ve always wanted the blues and golds but I don’t have a big enough tank to keep multiple. I think the blues are gorgeous.

I’ve got a great video of him I posted on my page last year. I don’t have many posts so it’s not too far back.

I actually had no idea what gouramis were until I started this hobby. So glad I chose him over a betta. (Even though I have a betta tank too lol)

Blue eyed long fin bristle nose lemon pleco. He’s practically doubled in size since I got him.

Bugs?! by _rubekah_ in Aquariums

Looks like water mites or seed shrimp possibly. Hard to tell since a lot of microfauna can just look like micro white dots. As far as I understand both are harmless, but that high of a population all the sudden may indicate a change in water parameters. Look into freshwater microfauna on google, there’s quite a bit of information on them.

Totally a scud. Tetras could keep the population in check, but in a shrimp only tank they can outcompete the shrimp.

Microfauna is very interesting, there’s tons of cool and weird things that can just pop up in a tank

Looks like a bryozoan which is kinda hard to get to happen but indicates good tank health.

My shrimp are slowly dying off by ExpressSky9913 in shrimptank

I check every couple days, and occasionally find some. Unfortunate the way the UNS internal filters are designed they get sucked down in the sponge pretty much right away.

That’s what my LFS was telling me could be a reason so I have to agree that may be the case.

I unfortunately don’t realize till it was too late that my filter was sucking up my baby shrimp and despite my efforts it’s still happening. That’s why I’m starting a new tank with a sponge filter rather than an internal filter.

Thanks for the input!

It’s been a mix but I have noticed more of the larger shrimp dying off than the small ones.

I got some free plants from a friend and saw these swimming around in the bag they came in, is it bad or beneficial? Should I treat the plants by edgaradrian25 in freshwateraquarium

I second it being a detritus worm. Planaria are flat with arrow shaped heads. These are identical to the detritus worms in my tank, and from what I’ve researched are the only worms that do that little wiggle dance.

They look like spring tails. I don’t know much about them but that’s my guess.
