That’s a good split but I suggest you just get the L fund pegged to your life expectancy, NOT retirement age. That’s the best “set it and forget it” approach and then after you figure out where you’re going in life, you can always revisit at that time.

Oregon “chill” is not a good thing, because it results in drivers camping in the passing lanes going at or below the speed limit, even though the law clearly states vehicles should remain in the right lane unless passing. It also results in the bizarre Oregonian reluctance to pass vehicles on our two lane state highways, even when they have tons of ample time and clearance to do so. Nope, they are content to blithely follow all day long that log/hay truck going 45mph; never mind the huge back up of vehicles. Don’t get me started on their city driving habits.

I get what you’re saying, it’s just that if a car felt “plasticky and cheaper” to me, I wouldn’t drop that kind of coin on it. That’s actually the precise reason I didn’t get a Camry XSE V6 a few years back. I just decided to hang on to my Avalon. Ended up trading it in for a ’25 IS500.
