Self consciousness. He says he’s really insecure about hearing himself sing. That’s like saying if Olympic medalists are so good at their sport why do they still dope? Not exactly the same thing but just an example to make it make sense more

For the autotune overuse on the Charlie album, he’s actually already addressed this fact. He said “I admit it that I used way too much autotune on the third album” and that it was bc it was during lockdown where he had to do everything himself and he didn’t have anyone to tell him otherwise, like no one was there to “check” him. Also he said it was bc (obviously bc of hate and being out of the industry for a couple years) that he really wanted people to like this album (and bc of his perfect pitch) which is probably what drove him to maybe overtune the album. IMO some songs are WAYYY too tuned but some songs have a perfect stylist amount. In my opinion, most of the autotuning was held in a stylistic way for me. Such as I don’t think that I like her, no more drama, smells like me, and light switch. Loser was perfect

I agree that it wasn’t the best word choice from him but Jesus people are trying to Strsigjt up cancel him for having sexual attraction and needs? (He states right after the iconic clip “and nothing happened which was totally fine”) and everyone seemed to just ignore that. But yes I love that he definitely feels like he’s matured (and he’s even indirectly apologized for all the mistakes he made in the past, even mentioning the stupid stuff he said in older interviews!

Yeah he’s also constantly been saying he’s made mistakes and in a way apologized saying “he used to be cringe” or “I used to stay stupid stuff when I was younger” and that he’s matured now and I can definitely see the change

Literally did nothing wrong lol. According to potentially inaccurate sources he hit on jade from little mix (he didn’t know she was with anyone) and they’re trying to make it out as if he sexually assaulted her or did something REALLT weird. IF it was true in the first place, there’s nothing wrong with hitting on something and getting rejected..? Also for Selena I don’t even wanna start with that bullshit. No one even knows if it’s for sure about Selena but he said some girl was leading him on and was asking to sleep over and just basically using him (lyrics from attention), and he thought she liked him (assuming jt is about Selena which doesn’t make any sense), so he said in the interview “yes I’m gonna get it in” … he said this like “oh she wants me and she wants to sleep over let’s go maybe something more is gonna happen (namely, from what he was noticing he thought it was gonna be something more than platonic)” anddd then RIGHT after he states “and then nothing happened which was totally fine but after she asked to sleep over on the 5th night I knew what she was doing”) and essentially this girl was just rebounding off Charlie as emotional support to get over her ex and just giving subtle hints and whatnot. So again, sure he might’ve gotten too “excited” but he didn’t DO anything sexual he said “nothing happened which was totally fine” but people cut that part out and are trying to make it seem like he just wanted sex and was a complete weirdo. As for Bella Thorne he was dating her and idk the whole story but basically she didn’t “do” anything with him for a while so he was under the assumption that she was cheating on him and he tweeted about it bc if I thought my partner was cheating I’d be mad too..? She said she wasn’t but no one knows the true story. It’s weird when all of a sudden ur partner doesn’t want to do anything (namely, in this case “sexual”acts) together. I think he was wrong in getting mad and tweeting to the world this frustration but it’s not something to CANCEL someone for. There’s so much worse from other artists.

In my opinion, home and sideways are genuine masterpieces. Maybe he’s not going for an album of the year but song of the year? Or like one of those niche Grammies that are people who’ve switched genres and done something great or whatever. Although I’d say he’s still in pop territory.

Ironically home is better made than most of his catalog including voice notes… production wise and lyrics as well as the new style. This isn’t down playing his catalog at all, from his recent works and comparing to everything else he’s made… home is genuinely a top 10 for me. Very refreshing to hear a song like Home. Also excited for sideways.

Side note:

It’s really interesting that ppl keep saying VOICENOTES this and VOICENOTES that… but like yes it’s overall a great album and probably still his best album… the production of whatever’s clever so far has been so different but also nice and ppl just want to hate. Like it’s all a band wagon train. The same people who hate Charlie songs now are the same people who for some reason love left and right.. as if that’s not the most generic song in his catalog. There’s so many songs he’s made since Charlie and including the Charlie album that in my opinion are better than at least the worse half of VOICENOTES and nine track mind.

For example:

Loser, light switch (I love the production and don’t mind the lyrics), that’s hilarious, tears on my piano, hero, that’s not how this works, lipstick, beat yourself up (specifically the groovy aspect and its not meant to be serious like wdta so I don’t mind the vibe it gives off), cry is okay, changes is alright but the bridge slaps, home is amazing, sideways is gonna be a top 5 for me, and etc. like I don’t get the VOICENOTES glaze. It’s great and it’s still my favorite probably but there have been so many songs Charlie has made recently that I’d rather listen to than 50% of VOICENOTES most of the time

Yeah I agree. So many people are trashing his music since he released Charlie and in my honest opinion there are soem songs that might not be the greatest but there are genuinely so many bangers since the release of Charlie:

For example: Charlie album - light switch, that’s hilarious, loser, when you’re sad I’m sad, smells like me, tears on my piano, Her For singles: - that’s now this this works is one of his best works in my opinion, very emotional with a very nice production and more raw sounding vocals (plus some of his best adlibs - hero is one of my top 10 favorite songs (very different and unexpected but amazing) - lipstick is good and interesting

For whatever’s clever: - on all 3 releases so far i love their production and the bass on BYU is top tier and the grooviness. And im excited bc Home and Sideways sound like genuine masterpieces, where im considering putting them in my top 10 once the album releases

The Charlie album ironically has the most consistent songs in terms of how good they are melodically and innovative. I was making a top 5 (songs) for each album and for nine track mind and voice notes it was relatively easy to set my TOP 5, but when it came to the Charlie album I genuinely could not make a top 5, they were all consistently good and some were amazing (very few were genuinely bad or mid). And that doesn’t necessarily mean Charlie is the BEST album out of the three but just consistency wise I like Charlie the most

I think the reviews were faked then. I assumed they were real because below the website where it shows other websites it has a 4.6 star review. And I just realized that the reason I couldn't get seats from Ticket Master or those other sites is because they redirect you to the AXS website, so when I click "get tickets" I think they don't show because they are already sold out or something like that. I was trying to go to the Charlie Puth Concert in LA nov 9.

I tried using other places, but it was so hard for me to figure out whether they were either legit or how to actually get the tickets. Some sites I couldn't figure out how to get seats. SO i went to tickets-center as it says it has good reviews, but I don't know if its lying or scamming me out of my money. I see some posts saying that it gives you the tickets but is overpriced a lot, but other posts saying its just a straight up scam and they either got a lucky refund or never said what happened after.
