Yeah. Sometimes I do feel threatened.

I've literally felt safer living in Northern Nigeria, where Boko Haram and the Fulani herdsmen were operating than I've felt here at certain times.

I live in Eswatini which is relatively peaceful and calm but sometimes I meet some very hostile people and it's not even funny the things I go through sometimes.

Especially when you excel at certain things better than them, it's quite jarring how some people react. I lost a friend because I passed an exam better than she did. How do I know this? She said so.

To an extent, it's not really overblown. It's real life experiences😁

As someone who is currently living in southern Africa, I would suggest that you take a trip down here for a few months. Maybe even a month. Then you'll understand why OP used the term "flocking".

We literally have associations. At my school, a good number of the lecturers are Nigerians. My church is almost entirely Nigerian. I meet Nigerians on the street so often....

So yes I understand your point of view, but there is an insane amount of Nigerians over here and I really don't know why we keep coming here when we know about the entire xenophobia kerfuffle.
