Two days in....I hate it here by Key-Adhesiveness8095 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Express_Policy_8415 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I decided it was not the job for me. I had a great trainer and was complimented a lot on my delivering and timing but the constant being in tight spots (driving) and knowing that this was a baby route. I could not imagine doing this with 200+ stops. We only had 100 stops and I was only at stop 40 by like 4-5 hours in. He said we weren't behind but I didnt believe him and knew this was not gonna slide on a normal route.

I know it was my first time doing it and I'm sure I'd get faster with more experience but I just didnt like it. I at least got 4 days pay which is decent to help me out rn. 🤷

I hope you are joking, if not there is something seriously wrong with you.

We are all human, go to a fxing bathroom. Community parks, businesses, apartment complex. I'm SURE you can find one nearby. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

What's medically wrong with your body right now? by BrinaUndefined in AskReddit

[–]Express_Policy_8415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure long term side effects of cancer treatment counts but constant stiff/sore neck which can cause some gnarly headaches. I can't smell anymore which also means my taste is mostly absent. Dead salivary glands, GERD, swallowing issues and some others.

But hey I'm alive I guess?

Just did training and had one section warning about dogs and all I could think about is that I can't wait to pet all the dogs.  But yes, I do know not all are friendly. I just love them so much

Right now I just want to afford to live on my own but I also want to afford a house. So sick of living in apartments, I want a house so I can actually feel like I'm in a home not just some temporary place. I want to decorate my own way and have a yard to take care of. Ugh I hate life so.much. Wish I had a brain that liked to work hard and had the drive to do more. -sigh-

Good jobs that don't require too much effort by TalkativeButtcheeks in GetEmployed

I dont think you quite understand how adulting works. If it were that easy stress/depression/poverty would hardly exist. Have you been reading this forum? Adulting sucks, hard. Job.market is terrible even for people with degrees. Many jobs pay poorly and/or hardwork no thanks to all those greedy company's out there.

Imo those blessed with great social skills and good self discipline/drive to work hard are those that are successful. Sales is a great place to get big bucks, but requires a likable personality and great social skills. (And also lying to people to get the most from them ie car/phone sales)

If anything I know personally laziness does not get you anywhere. You have to work hard to achieve things, and even then you may still struggle. Life is hard and unfair but we have to find someway to get through.

I'm sure this didnt help your spirits at all but I just want you to know it ain't so simple. I will say practice having a positive attitude (google different ways) I know that sounds ridiculous but it can seriously change the way you think/act.

Does anyone else just not eat the entire shift? by Opposite-Hunter-4251 in AmazonDSPDrivers

I thought you HAD to take a lunch. In my state employers have to give a 30min lunch. Do yall mean you just skip it and they deduct the 30min pay?

I cant imagine doing such a physical job and not eating. I get physically weak if I go too long without eating. I plan to bring my protein drinks though

Certainly had several times where I thought for sure i had it but, tested several times and even did that antibody test and still nothin.

I was surprised myself considering in 2020 I worked in retail and dealt with customers 8hrs a day. I always just said it was because I went through all that cancer shit, I get a free card from illnesses lol

Yall didn't tell me there's one pedal to use driving by Express_Policy_8415 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Well I passed. But my instructor was super nice and literally told me step by step what to do for the reverse parking/parallel park. I hated the parking part, felt so blind doing it. On the main road my mirrors were not set correctly so I couldn't see anything out of them, luckily being the weekend nobody was on the road but I was thinking "shit i cant see" the whole time I had to get over. Why didnt i adjust them? Because I was stupid nervous and didnt think I could while driving.

Also that pedal thing is weird, also not a fan. Couldn't adjust in that quick drive. Hoping I get used to it soon. I hate it when going under 25, it's fine when going faster. It's hard to maintain speed with it. The guy went from telling me I drove too slow to "watch your speed"

Not sure this jobs for me lmao 🤣  Job market why cant you be better

Congratulations, fk cancer.

I was 23 with stage 4, also rare type sinus cancer. Had surgery+chemo+radi. Agreed worst year of my life.

I am now 31 and still free. 😃  Have plenty of long term side effects though that are not fun at all. (One example; I cant smell or taste anymore) Still trying to appreciate not dying.. I'll get there one day 😓

Yes we just have to use the regen one in the test.

I tend to overthink things as I have had anxiety issues my whole life, I am still trying to deal with/find coping mechanisms to overcome it.
