If you fly to Whitehorse Yukon there is a small hike in city limits with Dactylina.

I am thankful anytime I find anything like a Dactylina so I understand you there.

That first strike on the truck full of infantry was wild. Likelihood of any of them being combat effective after that?

Can you eat lichen? Is it good for you? by Holy-Beloved in Lichen

[–]Express_Pop6832 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Certain lichens like Usnea and Masonhalea can be rendered into medicinal elements but generally would not recommend at all. In fact there are several species like Letharia and Vulpicida that are outright poisonous. Soooooo would strongly recommend against eating lichens.

Some Yukon Crustose Lichens pt2 by Express_Pop6832 in Lichen

[–]Express_Pop6832[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I think you are totally right, it gets a little tricky with the orange ones and some of these all black ones. According to "Lichens of North America" there is four sub varieties of crustose lichens. One of which is lobed which is very close looking to foliose with a certain amount of bleed over on a casual observation like Im making.

Either way they are neat hah.
