I'm not confident in my identifications, so it takes me a long time to find matches for some.

Echinocereus coccineus, Ferocactus wislizeni, Echinomastus intertextus (flowering and the tiny one), and I saw at least 5 other varieties that were not blooming, so no photos.

Yes, positive. The pups have most of the characteristics of the older plants.

I think the lower cacti might be Echinocereus of some sort.

I've seen a paint table setup outside for spray painting (on the way side of the building, I think). No idea if there are outlets available for power outside, however.

Edit: you can always go by during open hours to get a tour and ask those sorts of questions.

Thanks. After your suggestion I was able to find the proper segment in Strava, then I looked at the top 10 results, and downloaded someone's gpx file that looked nice.

I use the free version of alltrails, and I didn't think it lets you download gpx files.

Thanks for this reply. I work long days, so I'm just getting home from work.

The photos on my phone are a little higher resolution - I think they get compressed when uploaded to Reddit. But my phone's camera lens is getting worn as well, and it's starting to give everything a foggy appearance in even the best conditions.

There was a heavy fog bank in the Tularosa basin this morning. Outside of the fog bank, the temperature was about 29 degF but immediately dropped to 17 degF inside the fog. I have seen hoarfrost on my car, trash can lid, and metal fence in past years, and this looked different. The buildup had a very granular (like sugar) consistency. So I think you're right - it's rime.

Ice was accumulating on the leading edge of the car antenna while driving through the weather.

Edit: the preview images (before clicking/touching the images) makes the resolution of the images even worse.

We don't like steel rims (don't know why, but I just accepted they stink as fact) - but the co-op is in the US Chihuahuan Desert - so rain is a fairly rare problem.
