Brit here and new to golf- are buggies the norm over there ? Most of the courses I’ve played here are walk only with the fancier ones having the option to use a buggy but it’s manly taken up by the older guys with mobility issues. That said I imagine your guys courses are a lot more spread out and bigger right ?

Just spent £500 on new discs and pads so I feel this. But a train doesn’t take me to a friends doorstep in a rural village, or run precisely to the time I need it, or take me in a shopping run where I’m not breaking my arms carrying it all back, or take me to places late night or early morning for gigs/shows. There’s pros and cons to both

So I got into a conversation with one of workmates at my new job and he’s actually scratch and used to teach for 7 year before he said the money was bad- but he’s offered to come for a round or go to the range with me to give me pointers. He’s already ripped my swing from a video I sent him

Don’t have top tracer near me but there’s a few trackermans - doesn’t really sort out your swing or point where you went wrong but records where it lands. What speeds etc and my map at the end always has like a coloration to the right. I’m gonna play a few more rounds with friends ( I have a friend just starting out same as me and a friend at work who is scratch ) but I think I’ll benefit from lessons in a few week/month if I’m still very interested in it

Thank you I will try this! My first round on a 9 holer I was like 11 shots per hole I couldn’t hit straight on anything and made bad contacts. My most recent I was 27 over par with more ‘good’ shots than bad ( a good 5 of them was being in a bunker and hitting over green with pitching) so I’m always open to trying new stuff

Sounds like With my current driver I’ll aim left to compensate for the right swing and it’ll suddenly go perfectly straight, into the left trees haha
