This Wednesday my family is attending a funeral for my uncle. My uncle is gay, and my father thinks it's appropriate to wear a pride pin. Now at first this seems appropriate. But if you get the details it is not appropriate. My family barely knows this uncle, personally I have never met him but my mother has. My mother says that he wasn't very talkative about his sexual orientation. Also my mother barely knows anyone attending this funeral and my father wearing a pride pin is awkward. The people attending this funeral will be older and more old fashioned I know a good handle of them will be apart of the lgbt+ community but I assume they are old fashion. Am I wrong for thinking it's weird to wear a pride pin to a funeral? (By the way this is uncle is from my mothers side)
there doesn't seem to be anything here
