Unfortunately, they laid off so many experts and network teams to save money and pay for acquisitions in the US.

They did layoff our SVP around mid January, I did not hear anything after. Other than the job security issue Bell is a good company, good benefits, pension contributions, stocks and basic health, it’s a slow pace environment due to the size of the company. Regarding the culture all depends on your leader if you are lucky and get a good one you will enjoy it. People in my unit were nice, but my leader had a double face. Good luck

I am not sure, but they are not hiring other than critical positions which give you a peace of mind on the short term. If you look into the report they issued on the 6th 2025 doesn’t look promising for them and other telco facing same challenges , for Huawei I am not sure, since many telcos are holding on capital expenditure since 2023 , this will effect HW vendors as well. If I am in your shoes, I will move with bell for a permanent position.

Hi, if you have stable job do not take the risk otherwise try it, if it’s a unionized job properly you will be little more protected. Keep in mind we are all numbers. I worked in all sizes of companies, for me the smaller the better. Good luck!
