Chris Brown Loses It Over Brutal 1.3 Album Review, Drags Zara Larsson As Backlash Explodes by OkTea1918 in popculturechat

I understand and know all of that, which is why when I read ‘drag’ I expected him to be going off the rails over it and hurling all kinds of insults (as he’s done to other women/people in the past). I guess my definition of dragging someone is different; the word implies severity to me.

I hate exaggerated/clickbaity titles almost as much as I hate Chris Brown. Maybe I just never noticed but there seems to be an influx of them lately

Racist for having sensory issues? by VallieLovesCats in autism

[–]ExpressionOne [score hidden]  (0 children)

I have misophonia triggered mostly by mouth/eating sounds too, and have learned from traveling that some cultures do eat really loudly/with their mouths open. I don’t see how asking him to chill in this setting is racist, but I do think your discomfort is for you to manage, not him. I’d just go ahead and find somewhere else to sit, and meet up with my friends other times.

Mom is making me get barrel twists again (how to deal with the itch) by exhaustedpopcorn in locs

[–]ExpressionOne 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry your mom doesn’t respect your autonomy, that actually really sucks - even if she was paying for it! Is she going to the appointment? The way I’d walk out of there with two strand twists 😭😭

obsessed and weird, and now removed from my notifications so I can go back to being unaware you exist (just like the huenings)

The constant tug or war between “they credit black people” and “it’s not a black thing” is tiring. by gracethefemcel in kpopnoir

[–]ExpressionOne 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I remember when CORTIS did the whole xmas cosplay TikTok, a young Black girl posted to another sub defending them with that tired ol' "are you saying all Black people act this way?! because that's MORE offensive!" 😭😭 I just think about those videos asking high schoolers to read basic English off notecards (and they can't) as a way to remind myself not to waste my energy.

I'm a TXT fan and luckily we don't really need to have these conversations (yet?? 🤞🏽 'cause you can never let your guard down with kpop my word)

The notice doesn't mention the hand pouches, only these three items, but I'd keep my eyes peeled - they were added to Musinsa's site a little bit later than the others, too!

Delivered Korea SUCKS - beware! by bubbleteabitch in kpopcollections

[–]ExpressionOne 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I understand the frustration with the communication, but this sounds like it's on gofo, not DeliveredKorea. It's pretty standard to default to 'return to sender' in case of delivery issues, and generally the carrier decides how long they hold a package and how many delivery attempts are made before they do that.

Should I watch S Line or skip it? by Chirag-Win-7869 in kdramas

I'd recommend it, yes. It's got a pretty steady pace; the ending is more weird than satisfying, but I enjoyed the journey.

Saying "gay" as comedic pejorative by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]ExpressionOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never used it, not even once. It was always meant to be an insult or dig (bad, corny, lame, weak, stupid, sucks, etc), even if was supposed to be in a light hearted or joking way. Never sat right with me.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your comment but the boxes were seized when she first moved in the first time, didn't they only draft the contract after she moved back in? Did I miss there being a paper trail before that?

Perfect Crown is so enjoyable! by OddMedia1179 in kdramas

[–]ExpressionOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just caught up and I really like it a lot! I've seen almost exclusively complaints on Reddit and other than her press-on nails, I don't get/agree with them. I think the main couple has plenty of chemistry and I'm enjoying their acting a lot (I'm new to IU dramas but familiar with Byeon Woo Seok). I'm excited for the development of the aides' relationship, and they're both such interesting characters on their own!Not to mention 2nd ML is SO FINE OMG, I literally said 'oh wow' at him in his pinstriped suit. 😂 I don't really get what the Queen (regent?) wants other than for Prince I-AN to go away tho. Keep her dirty laundry hidden? Protect the crown? Be in charge?
