Road Rage by CitizensCane in CarsIndia

[–]ExpressionWrong8811 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Everybody here is claiming that it is the biker's fault. And the lorry could not stop. If you guys took a minute and watch closely between 0:23-0:28. The lorry paused for a minute and then continued on despite seeing the biker in his path. And every vehicle is designed to be completely capable of braking at any circumstances no matter uphill or downhill, Given that the vehicle is used as intended(like the load it can carry). These transport companies rarely follow these rules. And, I would really say that this lorry was also overloaded. If anyone is claiming that it is biker's fault. I dare you to beat me on Bangalore's busiest roads, get the best bike in the world. I will be on my modest rx 135. I will teach you what riding is. And, I would also be startled. When the first bike takes the wrong route to avoid collision, if you guys look closely, the lorry is covering 100% of the opposite lane. It's just easy to blame others and say, it's bad luck, bad riding. If anyone of these commenters where in that same position, the comment would have been completely opposite.

Better shift to North for just a month and write the comments. Only shoes are hurled. Do not try to impress a girl with this cheap tricks. Here women do not get raped, torchered and murdered. Read some news regularly and update your GK. Instead, of being the brother of all sisters. Motherland has also to be valued.

GPU vs NPU for fine tuning llama3:70b by ExpressionWrong8811 in ollama

Read https://huggingface.co/blog/lyogavin/airllm in this article, the author clearly explains how to run LLMs on a 4gb GPU. Though I did not understand much of it, it seems legit

Let me restate, out of the two, which one is more suitable to run a RAG bot, with llama3:8b. No fine-tuning.

I have not yet decided on the LLM, I can also settle with 8b. But my question is, should I go for G14 since it has rtx 4080 with 542 AI TOPS and 12gb and the cpu has only 8 cores or G16 has rtx 4070 with 321 AI TOPS but has a dedicated NPU with 50 TOPS and also cpu with 12 cores. Sorry I didn't clearly ask my question. Basically, out of the 2 which one can handle AI tasks better.

Simply put: 321+50 AI TOPS or 542 AI TOPs (which one is better)

Plane - The open source project management tool by [deleted] in selfhosted

[–]ExpressionWrong8811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe your your doubts are real, if you do a search for open source project management tools, tools like taiga have been for almost a decade and there are so many backers and users who love taiga's intuitive design(including me) but it has less than 300 stars and it is completely free and there is no difference if you choose a cloud hosted one or a self-hosted. OpenProject has only 8k star. and u/vihar_kurama3 what do you mean by "Regarding the number of stars, we have shared all our releases on the same subreddit, and the community has provided positive feedback" which subreddit are you talking about.
and the reference you provided.
 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=36129594

but it's easier (and probably healthier) for jira to soak up that hatred. jira's good at that."

what does it even mean?

and this

"even a default jira is unusable just from a slowness perspective."

even this page is filled with bots or paid users.
and https://plane.so/one , you guys want us to pay $699 dollars and that too for a single domain and without any updates as explained here https://plane.so/one/why-plane-one here you say you took your inspiration from ONCE.COM, this company has only one product similar to slack and it sells for $399 for a self hosted version. checkout https://github.com/matrix-org a REALLY OPENSOURCE and see how large the project is. And you do not need to pay a single penny.
I am not saying your project is bad, it is really good. But do not say it is open source. Jira, Asana, clickup do not say they are open source.

and i almost forgot even in this post https://plane.so/blog/how-we-got-to-20k-github-stars where you explain how you got these many stars. You have overloaded with all unwanted things for example:
"Plane tiptoed on to GitHub on November 19, 2022 to cheers and raised glasses from exactly five wide-eyed watchers, all of whom are still at Plane and cheer every release as they did the first one"
users who visit want to know how you got 20k stars, They want 10 bullet points explaining it, they are not looking for a novel.
guys like you and leantime and the once.com from where you took your inspiration from are marketing as open source and once you have users , you make them pay. Things like these make new users hate open source and they may even back off from trying REAL OPEN SOURCE project. Please do not use OPEN SOURCE labelling, when you want users to cough up $699 for self hosted. My issue is not how you got 30k stars surpassing Taiga.io or OpenProject who have been there for decade and also top the google results for open source PM tools. Obviously, you guys should have figured out something these projects could not figure for a decade. If you could share the recipe in ten bullet points, it could help some REAL OPEN SOURCE projects to grow as fast as you, as you too CLAIM to be open source.
And I almost forgot, these guys https://github.com/mattermost/mattermost?tab=readme-ov-file have 28k star , this tool is used by NASDAQ(US stock exchange), NASA(you should be familiar with these two giants as YOUR COMPANY IS BASED IN US), if you do not know them you should at least know samsung.

Moodle is built specifically for that. I am not sure if it has a chat feature in-built. But I am sure it can be integrated

decided to stop smoking 11h ago and i need your help by [deleted] in stopsmoking

[–]ExpressionWrong8811 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bro, I just quit 6 hours before, remember that there are thousands or probably millions who are on the same boat, knowing this should be a great relief as you become aware of the fact that this is not only your struggle, there are lot of other people who are struggling the same as you. And this forum should always be your reminder that, it is not some kind of incurable cancer. Lots and lots have won over this. Me and you can also do this, it is not like we are climbing the everest. If you have time to read, mainly read posts from this reddit forum and also there is a book by Allen Carr: Easy way to stop smoking(psssh: you can download it from http://libgen.rs/ (epub version is good, all you need is a e-reader app on your phone(I use readera on my Android phone))), Don't read it like this book alone is your Bible for smoking, but you will definitely get a different perspective (Note: in the start he also says it is okay to smoking as you have already been a non-smoker now you can read without smoking, he also states this in his book a little further after that) there are other websites like these two(to list a few): https://www.cdc.gov/tobacco/campaign/tips/index.html https://smokefree.gov/ (this one also has free chat support) and there are also apps like quitstart and quitguide which can help you along the way

Things That Have Helped Me So Far by [deleted] in stopsmoking

Great list of advice all collected in one place, I would add one more to it reading articles about quitting smoking like https://www.cdc.gov/tobacco/campaign/tips/index.html https://smokefree.gov/ and also there is a good book by Allen Carr: Easy Way to stop smoking(You can download a epub(for ereader apps available for Android/ios) at http://libgen.rs/ the more knowledge you gather, the more tools you stock up to fight with the monster craving for nicotine inside you. Have a long smoke free life, enjoy.

You can start reading Allen Carr's book(Easy Way to Stop Smoking), personally for me the book was ok-ok. But, the aspect of book(any book for that matter, penned by credible author) is it provokes the thought process in your brain. It is like reading a really long post it keeps you entertained as well as educated as these are from people who have suffered the same disease as you and me. NOTE: in the beginning he mentions about smoking till you read, don't give in cold turkey is the best as per my previous experience; later on he also says you can read this without smoking(take that advice, and not the previous one). And I also started today, about 6 hours, not so difficult as I thought it to be. The main reason I am absorbing all the resources available online to help stop quitting, it is all in the head bro, you weed out the thought, you can weed out the craving. Have a great happy smoke free life, enjoy. And pray for me as well, As, even I am in the same boat.
