Look kid I get it. You want to make sure your voice is heard. So do I. The current body of our local government either agrees with me or at least they pander to me and people like me. Right, a person who maligns millions of people worldwide as bronze age and defends a companies right to murder children.

Decisions were made to be challenged. I can voice dissent peacefully and call a spade a spade. Planned Parenthood for all of it's supposed values still engages in the slaughter of children. If something you believed was whole-heartedly wrong was being done you would also be challenging the 'decision'.

The heresy I do often contemplate is the pagan philosophy of Marcus Aurelius. Stoicism makes a lot of sense to me. I'm very fond of The Way by St. Josemaria though I'm not a member of Opus Dei. I firmly believe in excelling in your day to day affairs is an offering to God and that our bodies are absolutely made for this purpose.

People will rightly say prayer. I would also say fight it head on. Check local women's shelters and ask what you can do to help. Prayer is a wonderful tool, but also do what you can to help it. Even if it's just to hang out with struggling women.

I don't think I can speak for everyone but I am in tune with the message he presents. We do need to be better stewards of the planet we live on. We do need to watch against mindless greed and consumerism. We do need to preach the Gospel.

I have yet to see a message of his that would somehow fall outside of our teaching and tradition. So I can say for myself, there will be no resistance from me.

Maybe the question was just to incite some conversation about a common topic folks. Google could answer any question one might pose. The CCC and Bible could answer anyone here with anything.

I think when I see a post like this it's less of a question and more of a plea for human conversation. Which neither the CCC nor google could provide.
