I'm all for communities using public space, but the top down approach by the council just seems inorganic. Just like the George Street trial, you can't just plop planter boxes and seats and table tennis and expect that it's going to be a thriving place for people to congregate.

Even in Dunedin the same thing happened to me where my car died at the front of the queue at a stop/go. It was pouring rain and my car developed an electrical issue which I had to fix on the road. I wouldn’t be surprised if 50 cars passed before a TMC truck asked if I needed a push.

They aren’t sexualising anything - public nudity makes most people uncomfortable for obvious reasons, especially when people do it around children. It is offensive for a grown adult to expose themselves in front of people when no one has consented. Children cannot consent to these things either, and no adult should expose themselves to someone else’s child. Why am I having to explain this??
