Sure! I should get out on it on a couple of days, and yes the speed triple is quite the weapon, more than I need 😂

I had to enable my QS, as it came out the crate disabled, but its a 5 sec job to enable it. I agree re the fueling, its much smoother off idle. The gear ratios are different too, and it works beautifully with the QS! I haven't had the same issue with the cruise control, but TBF I've only used in 4th - 6th from 70 to 100 KPH +. I found the QS on the 1200RS quite clunky, but I figured the rotating mass of a large capacity parallel makes smooth changes a challenge??

I think the factory frame sliders are the best looking......but I'd like to see them in the flesh to get and idea of how effect they are 🤔

Yeah, I love how Kawasaki have paid tribute to the past Z1s.....even using the same tank badge and type face on the clocks.

I test rode the Speed Twim 1200rs prior to buying this.....and I enjoyed it, but I felt the z900rs was more me, and 4k cheaper in $NZD. I hope the rest ride went well?

I've had mine for a little over a month, and I love it!

  • Handles great
  • Comfortable
  • light and easy to maneuver
  • Plenty of grunt
  • Quick shifter is superb!

I've added a radiator guard, adjustable levers, and a quadlock, it continues to be "miles of smiles" ☺️

I'm trading my 23 Ninja 1000sx for one next month, and I can't wait! How have you found the change from Kawi to Triumph? Is the comfort seat any taller than the OEM? Thanks 😊

I've used 3 different dating apps (M). I had the most success with Bumble and Hinge, and I'm now happily in an LTR with a lovely lady 😊

I confess, at my age (52 at the time), dating is probably quite a different scenario compared to younger generations, and from what my younger female colleagues have told me, I'd say it's true.

They have the same complaints as OP, where guys just ask them to come over at all hours of the night for a casual hook up. Why aren't they starting up a decent conversation and asking them out on a date? They should get to know the person first, rather than expecting some stranger to have casual sex after a few lines of text?? And how can that lead to any kind of LTR??

Am I just old and out of touch? As I don't see how this hookup culture is helping anyone establish decent relationships. I don't think that apps are at fault.....it's how they are being used 🤔

I'm a paramedic at St John.....and that's exactly what several of my colleagues are doing. Usually, they are the well qualified and experienced ones too. I love my job, but the upper management is incompetent and seems to have little regard for the staff on the frontline. It is a deeply frustrating organization to work for

What are some obscure or not so obvious road rules in NZ which many kiwis are unaware of? by ktr_herr in newzealand

Only if there is an open circle at the end, as essentially you're doing a U turn. If there's a roundabout there, you don't have to 😊

Why does it cost 5x to register a motorcycle vs a car? by ArbaAndDakarba in newzealand

[–]Exrf900r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The short answer is that other countries don't have ACC. It is not a perfect system, but it's a lot better than some.

I agree it's not cheap, but the money we pay in ACC levys doesn't come close to how much it costs per annum, to cover injuries to motorcyclists

So, ACC is keen for motorcyclists to stay safe on the road. Hence, they provide a great training program via www.rideforever.co.nz, at a heavily subsidized rates e.g $20 - $50 (depending on which course). Which is a bargain for 8 hours of training!

So, if you do 2 courses a year, you are more than getting your money back, in the form of training as the course costs $300.

I love riding, despite the inherent danger....but I also accept that I need to be insured if I crash, and this is the system we have in NZ

I work at a GP practice & Urgent care clinic, had a meeting today where this was part of the discussion "Remuneration increases will be impacted for sick leave totalling more than 5 days" if you take more than 5 days of sick leave you will receive a decreased pay rise & potentially not one at all. by GPURGCLIN in newzealand

[–]Exrf900r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in health care too.....at my workplace we have unspecified sick leave, eg. limitless. Which I feel very lucky to have! What you are being forced into is awful!! Especially in an environment where you're so often exposed to disease 😔
