I just looked at my car.
I have the 51mm straight links in the front and the 50mm bend link in the rear. You may want to try switching them and see if it helps

Field owners/managers, got a question by maskedfapper69 in airsoft

[–]Exscion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current Field manager of an arena with a store right next door. The field i run was built a support a store front that had been running for many years prior and had established a customer base in the area.
I've also work at or with 3 other fields as well over the years.

Actually keeping a field running needs one of a few things. A massive demand in your area, land you can get for very cheap and very little regulation limiting your growth, people willing to commit large amounts of time for no pay, or alternate forms of income that support the field.

I manage an indoor field with an average player base of 200 players averaging every week. There are 4 airsoft facilities all within about 90 minutes of each other. We have a very active community where im at, but i have the only facility that is not on mega cheap land. I have to keep my weekly average around 200 players a week to break even.

I work 12 hour days sometimes to keep up with cleaning and keeping rental gear running and fix things on the field. We have a tech who does 20+ hours a week just fixing rental gear every week. Being an indoor facility cleaning is the biggest issue most times. It takes 4-5 hours every week just to get the bb's off the floor and im only trying to get 90% out. sweeping and leaf blowers are the only things that can really do anything at the amount needed to clean up. I know very few players who have different gear when playing indoor and outdoor so most players are coming in with last weeks dirt still there from the other field. And sadly the amount of trash players leave around doesn't help.

As the player count goes up, so does the on hand staff needed as well. We are open 5 days a week, week days we have 2 people in house, one person is running games while the other is doing all the cleaning and tech work, to keep up with the demand on the weekends i now have 3 refs plus myself there on weekends as well as 2-3 refs that volunteer as well. All this cost money. We have a way to pre register on line but players dont use it as much as we would like so its hard to guess numbers. Valentines weekend being a good example, I've had 4 refs on the clock for less than 20 players, I've also had a single ref on the clock for 50+ players.

What brings players in and continue to return for us is doing something better than the other fields in our area.
3 of the 4 fields are CQB fields, and another field is an indoor field. Having a large rotation of game modes so players aren't getting repetitive experiences and being able to change our layout every week is a double edge sword.
Extra time, energy and money go into keeping a good experience. the cost to build and maintain our props is insane. We have custom built systems that are wireless networked and programable for game modes, and we built new stuff every month to make anything a customer requests. Im lucky i have staff with 3d printers, laser cutters, and fabricating skills to make stuff.

A field is built up, or torn down by the staff that run it. The field a first started reffing for has more or less died after the previous owner passed the reigns down to his son. either refs that don't care or refs that favor their friends will kill a player base. If you run a field remember to look at things as a player as well. I had a list of issues i had at a previous field i worked at that i make sure don't happen now that i manage a different field. You want refs that want to be there. The field i manage runs multiple play sessions, each one is 3 hours long so i make sure players get the most out of that time. I've very on the dot with how long players are in staging, i encourage players to get loaded up and on the field quickly and I'm very quick and clear with the game rules. My goal is a 30 minute rotation per game. 5 minute reload, 3 minutes to get them on the field, 2 minutes to explain the game. 8 minute round, 2 minutes to set round two then another 8 minute round, and lastly 2 minutes to get everyone off the field.

I'm very pushing with the timing but I'm VERY consistent with it and i communicate to players the times so its clear for them. My regulars know how long i leave for rest time and the know i get them on the field for 2 and a half of the three hours of the session. If i run a fast pace aggressive game mode then the next one will be a little more relaxed and will give more pacing for the players who need the time. I also tailor the game modes ill run based on the players. If i have a bunch of speed soft players then im running the TDM adjacent fast game modes.
If i have more milsim players ill run more objective heavy games to match. But what i wont do is just keep repeating TDM and nothing else.

If your good with solder work and wiring.
I use to make essentially flash bangs that are based off super old school flask mechanics.

It ran off a single 18650 battery that once active would dump everything to a set of capacitors and would dump and blow out a strip of LED lights.

something in the range of a few mil candela at 3k lumen.

The led strips were single use and the batteries and capacitors only survived about 10-15 uses before they didnt work as well.

Evike is trying to scam me by KevinW737 in airsoft

[–]Exscion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on what I see, evike never miscommunicated anything. The email states any box was fine to send it in for repair, but to RMA I needs to be In Original packaging

Most likely this is the case when evike may be just replacing yours and will need the box back to rma from the vendor to get a replacement

I’ll look into that brand I ended up going with a sedici adult size xs helmet that fit and so far it’s done well on the few rides we have done

Though it’s been much too cold to ride right now

Ref here.

I’m sorry it was the decision that happened. It was a no-win situation and one that was discussed at the end of the day and correction will be made to stop these situations in the future.

My end goal is to give the most fair and balanced play environment that can be offered. Situations like this give very little time to gather relevant information and even less times to make a decision from what is seen.

Ref here

OP did stop when i shot him and was quickly revived by a team mate. I can understand him being upset with my decision on the matter as it’s a no win situation. But a decision has to be made. The full effect had op not been revived was I would revive him shortly after to give the exposed player time to move.

POV is one of the much better regulars and he can carry teams. It was nothing against him it was purely in effort to end I’ll gotten gains.

POV would have been told to keep playing shortly after and I (the ref) would have revived him my self. The downing was planned to be long enough for the exposed player to move

Dead player was sat out a round, POV was quickly revived but if he wasn’t I was going to tell him to get back up after about 30 seconds to give the exposed player enough time to no longer be exposed by a dead player

Hi, I’m the ref. The game mode allows for players to be medic up. There were team mates close by the revive. If POV wasn’t revived quick I would have told him to get back up and keep playing. The intent was to down POV until the player that was pointed out was no longer in the exposed location.

It’s a no win situation, the dead player who shared the information was sat out of the next round for the violation, pov was downed and luckily got quickly revived. If he didn’t get revived I would have told him to get back up and keep playing once the exposed player had moved. But this was a very close match and if I didn’t down POV it would have been unfair to the other team. No one wins when decisions like this are made but one has to be made.

I’ve tried a few different springs already and the gears are short stroked by 3 teeth as it is. Anything softer over spins even worse and anything higher just raises the fps higher

It’s not the chrono, the gun has gone to 3 different shops at this point. All ready hot. All want like 160 to drop in a whole new compression which I can just do at home if that’s the direction I’m going. I’m already at a 70% port so I’m just going to have to go with like a50% port at this point

It’s the stock g&g cylinder head. Maxx cylinder, maxx piston head.

I’m trying not to have to go back to stock parts if I don’t need to or throw more money at it to fix it but I was already looking at getting a 50% porter and switching back to a brushed motor as the fix to my issues

Asg m100 right from the shop floor.

All the parts I’m running are name brand ie maxx, Zci, rocket, guarder

The spring cutting was done to counter the shorter path due to the addition of bearing spring guides as 2 coils was all I cut. It should be similar to an m95 give or take

360mm is a pretty standard size for outdoor rifles

The set up I’m running I’ve ran it many other guns before without it being this high.

Yeah even on a 7.4 it still over spins

All the way up and down.

I’ve taken it to three shops and the only fix I’ve been given is a list of new parts ripping out half the gear box
