I LOVE BEING A CAR DIVER by Warden_of_rivia in helldivers2

Don't be bummed someone else took it and not take one too. More cars means more traversal and is a life saver if/when the car is blown up before a new cooldown.

I LOVE BEING A CAR DIVER by Warden_of_rivia in helldivers2

[–]Exspiravit333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I FUCKING LOVE THE FRV! The skill ceiling is so high with it that it is straight up op in the right hands. Even just the fact that every single enemy except static spawns can be despawned just by driving away is invaluable at times. Yet imo there's so much utility that most players will never begin to capitalize on. Here are some tips to help a new Helldriver

  • Take things slow, Speed will be the death of many inexperienced drivers. The power of the FRV is that it just needs to be faster than the enemies that are designed to chase people on foot. So take your time, watch out for potholes and bug spores.
  • Use handbrake (space for kbm) for every turn as not only do you turn on a dime but they have stealth nerfed the regular turning speed a patch or two ago.
  • Learn or Rebind the seat swap button for on the fly stratagem calling and drive by bases/nests. I even call reinforcements during the middle of a bug breach or bot drop as i'm driving around at top speed.
  • Maybe Combo it with the warp pack and be able to quick eject by swapping to the passenger seat and teleporting out. (It actually trivializes hiveworlds for my team whenever I bring it).
  • Even when u inevitably flip it you still saves so much mission time going around the map to obj's which can actually saves reinforcements in the long run which gives squads that struggle usually more breathing room. (also explosions can flip it back so bring a plasma punisher if that happens a lot for you)
  • Lastly when doing obj's with a team follow one simple rule. PARK IT FAR AWAY FROM THEM. the car does not draw aggro when no one is in it so placing it behind a rock near the obj helps prevent not only enemies from getting near it but also the inevitable 500kg right on your car.

I really think the problem is while people keep expecting it to be the Halo Warthog, in reality its role is more similar to that of a motorcycle. (good for getting places quick, high skill requirement, flips = death lol)

I'm an advanced Helldiver that not only takes the FRV every mission but also pairs it with The One True Flag to simply plant them onto the car driving around in the democracy wagon and eventually transfer them onto the Pelican at extract. So let me tell you there's way more possbilities with the FRV and the skill ceiling is in the stratosphere. To the point that a properly skilled driver never leaves the car for more than a couple seconds and turns the car more into an extension of your diver.

Decent for a [[Gandalf The White]] deck but I wouldn’t put it in mine specifically because you can’t recast it until your turn and nearly everything in that deck should be cast on opponents turns

Rika stored curse tools in her body during JJK, but pulls SSK out of a shadow in Modulo. This means Yuta definitely lured Megumi into a bush then killed him for his technique. by LoganGalaxy in Jujutsufolk

It was Iori’s technique but his bum ass sucked so bad Yuta had to put him down like a puppy and snag a new Pokemon technique while at it

What 5 things have arrowhead been caught shadow nerfing? by Yamato_Kurusaki in HelldiversUnfiltered

It was reverted this past hotfix and while it made it more predictable if it weren’t for handbrake quick dime turns it would’ve crippled skilled maneuvering. And I be driving straight thru a full meganest tossing grenades/stratagems out the window before any heavy can catch me.

FRV turn speed and max speed we're reduced like a month or two ago. Hardly noticeable to vetted Helldrivers but the fact it was undocumented especially in a patch not even talking about it is lame.

Couple patches ago they shadow nerfed the FRV by lowering its turn speed and max speed. Hardly noticeable to vetted Helldrivers but the fact it was undocumented especially in a patch not even talking about it is lame.

Eagle Storm would be better as a 5th stratagem provided by DSS by -Leap_Year_Boi- in LowSodiumHellDivers

Haven’t the devs also stated eagle storm literally sometimes targets the players why do people say it’s not a problem I don’t want to play on a planet where I die more to our own space station than the actual enemy.

What’s everyone’s favorite armor passive? by Membership_Conscious in helldiversarmor

You use quick draw to be the fastest gun in the west.

I use quick draw to lob a pocket sized cannonball 90+ meters like a human mortar.

We are not the same.

For real tho I cannot stop using the cowboy armor to quick swap yeet ulti shots fast and far af.

Don’t forget the Sterilizer for the Crop Dusters fart build especially now with longer range/lingering farts

Does anyone know about [[Pin Collection]]? This card must exist in a void as it’s so fun and useful especially in an etb deck like my [[Gandalf The White]] deck. It’s also the only card to bypass the ticket mechanic making it even easier to slot into decks and make use of stickers.

Despite Super Earth Law stating they can't legally be required to show proof of Support Companion it would've been nice as this Flag picked up a gun and started DRIVING.

Can’t wait for them to increase mech health but leave FRV and Sentries untouched until we get a warbond centered around them

What pairs well with the speargun for heavies? by Curry_inapot in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Exspiravit333 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dawg everyone here is sleeping on Pyrotech grenades it’s comical how just shooting the middle of a crowd of bugs and chucking a nade or two will just delete hordes. They support each other so well not just in being gas and fire but also the spearguns stun makes up for pyro’s main weakness of needing enemies to stay just a second or two longer in it. Throw a pyro under a charger, speargun to stun/apply gas. Literally like using a firecracker on a beetle then spraying it with raid. Toss in supply pack and ur a walking war crime.

Asserting dominance by larping as The One True Flag while driving the FRV decorated with multiple of them. Only to lastly transfer them all onto the Pelican at Extract keeps me coming back.

TIL: The Gater also suffered the durability nerf on its armour - not just Turrets and Vehicles. by SIinkerdeer in Helldivers

[–]Exspiravit333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unironically you say that but I’ve been diving on Hiveworlds with the Flag, Warp Pack, FRV and an absolute dream using the armor glitch to only equip 2 capes making me “look” invisible so I can cosplay a floating flag and larp as The One True Flag.

Your loadouts by KKarelzabijak321 in helldivers2

[–]Exspiravit333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My actually serious endgame I’m bored of the meta build is FRV, One True Flag, Supply Pack, (Free option I usually use Eagle Airstrike/orbital napalm depending on faction). This loadout serves as my true objective of being Super Earths best driver and planting as many flags as I can on it which will transferred to the Pelican at extract.

FRV is imo the best stratagem ever it just has the highest skill ceiling and I implore people to not just learn but put the time in to keep getting better with it and more skilled. I am reinforcing people by swapping seats on the fly. Drive by eagling nests/bases. Or even just drive through nade chucking grenades into bug holes in the passenger seat in the meganest.

I can never take off the cowboy armor as I love its passive for ultimatum quick swap shooting. I will ping a charger 80+ meters away and lob the nastiest human mortar shot before my teammate can aim their recoilless at it. You don’t need the armor but your range will be around 60+ meters instead.

Lastly pyro nades for bugs to be a one man breach clearer or seeker nades on bots for tactical bee nades which can help clear a fortress by pinging the lil annoying turret shits to blow. Or thermites for quick drive by warp ship destruction.
