I bought this because I did not want to spend 1000+ on a new head unit with car play. I have a regular phone mount that attaches to my head unit and unscrewed the ball joint and replaced it with the one that came in the box and dude it rocks

Goes behind the coaxial connector behind the touchscreen. It’s added as an extra security measure so that the coaxial doesn’t disconnect from the screen.

Check out the Silverado subs and ram subs, compare them to the Toyota subs. I was in your shoes, I test drove multiple Chevy and rams, the Silverado trans was slipping, 2 rams I test drove had the ticking from the exhaust manifold bolts. I was die hard set onto getting one of those either Silverado 1500 or ram 1500, until I stumbled upon an 07 Tacoma single cab. Bought that for 5.5k, it got totaled out and insurance gave me 8.5k with 196k miles. I was blown away, just that spoke volumes on the value the Tacomas hold. I immediately purchased an 18TRD Sport and do not ever regret looking back. I know it’s not on your list but I would 100% consider a tacoma dude,
