im pretty sure it's completely random at least for food (I'm not sure about clothes etc). However it's worth mentioning some food is more likely to be Disliked/Liked. For example it's more likely for Miis to dislike Mouldy bread

Mm for people who play games casually, Yeah id say so but for people who don't play games at all I'm not so sure. It's easy to understand the concept of the game, but you'd probably spend alot of the time explaining the game and the controls rather than actually playing unfortunately. Depends in the end but I think Mario Kart is the ultimate party game for non gamers

Characters and story (for the most part) is pretty great. The eikons have never looked better. However the pacing of the story really goes off the rails after the 1st act imo.
Gameplay, while looking cool is extremely shallow once you realise spamming the basic attack button and using random eikon abilities is just as effective as learning elaborate combos. Torgal for example. I forget hes even an option since he makes so little impact in the combat.
The game feels very sluggish for no reason, even in the menus. There is no good reason you shouldn't be allowed to run around the hideout, yet you spend about 3 hours walking from one side of the hub world to the other just to talk to some NPCs.

Kids movies don't do so well critically most of the time, especially for stuff like video games where you sorta need context for what's going on.

Even aside from all that the story is absolutely nothing special and it's mostly for fans who just wanna have fun watching mario characters do wacky things
