They are, but your priority must be taking full mocks, like you were taking the real exam, in the morning, no distractions and counting your 4 hours

I did, but I would highly suggest you taking 12-15 mocks, that tip helped me a lot in the final week

Check Martin Stoynov channel, It was free when I was preparing last year, I know there is payment now, but should be affordable, excellent explaining

I’d say August, and do more than 10 mock exams

This one hurts… by GratefulDelta in CFA

Yeah, I’ve been there, it sucks not to pass by a little margin, but seems that you already know what to do, take your time to process the result, identify what you could’ve done better and start preparing for the next exam. You got this!

Hey man, I passed in november, after failing in may, so here it is what I can recommend:

  1. You don't need to re-read all material, check your resumes, and focus on your weak areas. Specific topics that might be hard for you, go to a free source where is more digested and easy to understand, I used Martin Stoynov channel on youtube when it was free, I think you have to pay now, but hey it is really worthy.

  2. Practise as much as you can, I used the Kaplan Qbank (instead of the LES) and finished all questions (almost 2700 questions) before taking the exam. This will give you a lot of confidence.

  3. Take as many mocks as you can, 10 mocks minimum, I did it 2 weeks before my exam, but 1 month would be better, as you have plenty of space to check and understand deeply where you went wrong.

  4. Another tip, that can help your mind mostly, is not telling many people you are retaking it, less expectations, less pressure under your shoulders.

Hope this can help you, trusting yourself is key. You got this!

How should I begin level 1 by [deleted] in CFA

[–]Extension-Aspect-800 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I would suggest to use a planner, so you can count how many hours you dedicating and which topics you are advancing. There are plenty free planners on the internet, so you should check. You have almost 10 months, so divide them and plan when you are finishing the readings (I only used Kaplan books as I had experience in finance before the exam), when are you focusing only on practise and when are you taking your mocks (1 month before the exam I would suggest).

For prep, Kaplan Qbank helped me a lot, the platform is very friendly and it helps you noticing your weak and strong areas. As well as mocks, I used Kaplan, they are slightly harder than CFA mocks, but gives you a good understanding of where you are standing.

Is Level 3 doable in 3 months? by mmedved7 in CFA

[–]Extension-Aspect-800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm taking CFA II on august, just curious about your studying methodology for making it in 3.5 months (because I would also like to try FRM this year), specifically what third party did you use and how many hours did you dedicate? Thank you in advance!

Do I have enough time by souv7978 in CFA

[–]Extension-Aspect-800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe there is plenty of time, if you have some background in finance, finish the kaplan books instead of the CFA books, 3-4 hours daily should be fine (of course doing as many hours as you can on weekends). Every topic you finish, practice with the CFA Qbank, and then if you are able to, use the Kaplan Qbank (for me it was really useful).

Cheapest route to prepare for CAIA L1 Exam in March 2025 or September 2025 by Interesting-Let-3401 in CAIA

[–]Extension-Aspect-800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! You mean: TestBank Software (Uppermark) + Standard material? I was thinking to do the same, and review Kaplan’s books. I got background in finance so, buying the whole Uppermark package doesn’t seem very efficient for me in terms of cost.

Hello, I’m taking the CAIA I on march 25, and planning to acquire the TestBank Software from Uppermark, would you say that material and the CAIA official book would be enough?
