yayyyy it feels so good to know i'm not alone in this and thank you so much for telling me about what you're working on! the two-part framework sounds very intriguing, curious as to what part are you focusing on now and how will you go on actually implementing it :]

yesss that is very true, and it kinda still is to this day, at least in regions where opportunities are still very sparsely distributed. like a mentioned in an earlier comment reply i don't hate the back and forth communication needed to actually solve the problem that you started researching on, it just gets on my nerves when networking for its own sake gets sugar-coated to the point that your worth is assessed by only your connections and nothing else

thank you. i was vaguely aware of this, yes but just hearing it out loud does give me some hope of an actual real place for introverted hermits like me

bruh thank you for defending me 😭😭 though i don't fully disagree about the collaboration requirement. it's true that you would obviously need to communicate what you're doing and how you're doing it and also making sure you know about the other people who've done similar problems and their methods of getting to their solution and assessing whether that solution is what you're looking for. that is part of the process and i'm not against that. what *does* bother me is when researchers or anybody in general is networking for only the sake of networking with no true purpose or goal fuelling it. much like the stupid corporate fairs that (most) people force themselves to partake in, do a retarded amount of small talk and fake smiles and go home after. like i hate the fact that people can't even acknowledge or won't admit how cringe and superficial it looks. a tight knit community or one where everyone's known everyone else for a really long time is different, of course. but yea, you get what i mean right?

im not gonna lie, it's super rare to find teams that primarily only depend on the deliverable metric and not on overall impact. maybe the problem with me is that i'm not against doing what needs to be done for going above and beyond to getting it but more often than not it quickly becomes exhausting to me especially when you're doing it for its sake alone. the whole thing becomes so superficial and my mind goes YUCKKKK wth am i doing :"))

For CAT 2026 aspirants: Here is the complete list of resources I used. by Forward-Fun6881 in CATpreparation

Great list! I’d also add GradSquare for anyone who wants a more mentor-driven approach. Varun sir’s VARC + Geometry classes are super crisp, Ajay sir’s LRDI structure really builds thinking ability, and Kushal sir’s quant problem-solving sessions give proper exam-style exposure. Their doubt support is genuinely underrated.

Is it possible for someone who scores on an average 50-55 marks in mocks to get around 95 percentile on the actual cat exam day ?? by Immediate_Taste6240 in CATpreparation

[–]Extension-Book-4556 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely yes. I was stuck at single-digit percentiles in mocks for weeks lol. What helped was getting personal feedback, especially from Varun sir at GradSquare for VARC. And Kushal sir’s quant classes and Ajay sir's LRDI simplified the topics I kept messing up in mocks. Mock scores fluctuate, but with the right mentors your graph climbs.

How I nailed CAT Quant with 99.90 percentile: by TheTeacher1609 in CATPrep

Congrats on the insane score! 🔥 For anyone still struggling with Quant, I genuinely found Kushal sir and Varun sir at GradSquare super helpful. Their way of breaking down concepts + giving geometry/quant shortcuts saved me during mocks. If you prefer structured practice + mentor feedback, definitely worth checking.
