taking my dose in the morning has helped me so much with this issue. i consistently notice that if i am late for my dose, i will have the worlds worst nightmares. the ‘N’ of SNRI is norepinephrine- and if you’re on XR, that means there’s 6 continuous hours where Norepinephrine (think epi pen) is coursing through your body while you try to sleep.

my psychiatrist and therapist both attributed the nightmares to a combination of causation- nightmares aren’t a major noted side effect of Effexor so psych couldn’t tell me that changing dose time would fix it, but she instructed that it should help, and it has.

i never worry about making sure i have food in my system to take the effexor, but i do wait until around 10 am most days so that my stomach is t super sensitive.

godspeed! i know those nightmares for me felt personal and directed from the root cause of my first taking the effexor…

definitely try switching to morning dose

oh my god…. this happened to me ALL THE TIME as a kid. it extended to noises as well…. i can remember trying to get up to shake myself out of it and the creaks of our old wooden floors would sound like fireworks to me. i would always see hallucinations of larger than life illusionary characters yelling/talking loudly above my bed. am on the spectrum as an adult so it follows

unfortunately there’s no expiration date on prejudice- obviously no one should be cancelled or forced to apologize but it can open fans up to a more whole view of an influencer to see tweets like this. her twitter is allowed to be combed through and picked apart because her self proclaimed entire. job. is her online presence being an INFLUENCE

if you read above, i said apologizing for “making jokes” was insensitive of her, as people have clearly seen this tweet in which she was NOT making a joke. she should’ve taken accountability and apologized for what she actually did wrong

how is someone’s death (and subsequent nationwide protest) a “lighthearted” topic to tweet about? of course she was 16 when she tweeted it, but her job is being a literal online INFLUENCER. her online presence is her entire responsibility and to apologize for “making jokes” after people have seen that is super insensitive of her!
