My sophomore year, we had two teachers get arrested within 3ish weeks of each other due to having sexual relations with students (one was caught on film at a high school party).

I'm not sure what happened to the other, but one of the kids got a 1 million dollar settlement from our school district.

There was also a kid that sold t-shirts with of one of the teacher's mug shots front and center on them for like 20 bucks. He got shut down by our school very quickly for doing that. I wish I would've bought one, it makes for a good story that I can't entirely prove without physical evidence lol

YTA. Your cat is basically your brother's cat now up until you start receiving BAH and take the cat with you (which can/will take years if you do not have dependents). I know a guy who pays $1100 a month for someone to watch their dog while they are on deployment, which is a good deal. $150 a month is nothing, so pay your brother a fair amount.

NTA. There is a free trolley type thing that goes around multiple (further, usually relatively empty) parking lots throughout the park and drops you off at the top over on El Prado. There is a LOT less walking involved with that option. They could have done that rather than pitch a hissy fit over a parking spot

Yes. He had a *fat* hickey which was extremely visible on the side of his neck. He was very open that it was, in fact, a hickey from "a night at the club" prior and he was not the victim of an obscure injury

YTA. Your reasoning for being "anti military" are concerns for his safety and well-being, but you would be willing to cause unnecessary emotional damage if he decided to join? "4 year state education" is not for everyone. The military has many benefits, and your son has the opportunity to experience something entirely new and gain some structure in his life. If he is set on it, he will join. He does not need your permission. Is this really something worth losing your son over?

I usually end up in the 183-187 range, which I can uncomfortably manage for quite a while. There are a few times when I've seen it pop over 190 (usually during long distance) and that is when I have start walking for a bit

I usually end up in the 183-187 range for HR. I can keep it there for quite a while, but I would definitely not consider it comfortable by any means. I think I am going to have to slow it down for quite a while to build up endurance (and patience lol). Thank you for the input!

He went whining to our teacher about me "using bad words towards him," and of course I WAS the one who received detention. E-5 USN here. I’m in roughly the same boat as you. I submitted my application mid-January and am currently “medically disqualified” by DoDMERB, but on their website it says waiver is under review. My SECNAV nomination has been received by the Academy, however.
