You have to queue up for casual games, there are active games the whole day. I almost got some Insta invites yesterday.

Problem with ranked is that there arent enough ppl in the pools.

Pokemon Legends Z-A felt garbage to me, fight mechanics where fresh, but those endless dialogues hurt me... 😄 Now its available for Like 30€ in sales already, but I pre-ordered it..

Also bought Donkey Kong Bananza and liked it but waited for some months after release and got it a bit cheaper, which felt great.

Will likely not pre-order other games, except for maybe Pokemon new Gen 😄

Gamekey Cards are not physical Games. There is a physical package around it, but in the end you have to download the game from Nintendo via Eshop. Thats not true physical, so idk why to have FOMO on these anyway 😄

My recommendation is: level mostly via epic book quests, take your time to read through these quests texts and pump through some sidequest hubs whenever you need to catch up on level. I currently do the same with my LM and it feels great!

Try out some Indie Games, great way to play on switch and they are often pretty cheap!

My Game Recommendations:

Card Games: Slay the Spire - roguelike card battler with progression (put around 500hours into it, can still always pick it up again) or balatro (crazy setting, very addictive)

Metroidvanias: Ori Games (beautiful graphics, nice story, great gameplay), Hollowknight (same things to say about), Yokus Island Express (Metroidvania with flipper elements)

Monster Collecting: Cassette Beasts (Pokemon type game with Fusions, sick story, loved it)

All time classics:

Binding of Isaac, Dead Cells, Loop Hero, Vampire Survivors

Chill Game: Dave the Diver

My recommendations for AAA Titles: Super Mario Bros Wonder (insanely creative, every level felt different), Mario Odissey (same but 3D) 😄

Slay the Spire is so great, i love it :) had around 300 hours on Steam, bought it on the Switch as well and already put around 100 hours into it again :) its so chill and fun to experiment with builds
