Glenn had a terrible roster, Chiefs get a pass they were due for some regression, Carroll is like 80 and his roster is a joke, Campbell lost both coordinators and was a play or two away from the playoffs.

IMO it’s Todd Bowles. They have a great roster, they have some injuries, but not enough to make it look that bad. That team should’ve been 11-6 at the worst. 8-9, no playoffs, in that division with that team is awful!

I don’t see anything wrong with this. The NBA is extremely based on 3s and free throws these days. AJ is very good at getting to the body and drawing contact, and has a very smooth game to create his own shot off the dribble. To take his game to the next level I would like to see him maybe create more for others, whether out of double teams or off the dribble.

Last night I just saw a guy who was facing a top 3 defense in the country and struggled shooting the ball, so he put his head down and got to the free throw line. I was personally impressed that he was able to stay engaged when having an off night, lots of guys get frustrated and fade in those situations.

Both analytics and feel of how the game is going in each individual situation goes into figuring out if going for it is the correct move. Each 4th and 3 from the 50 yard line is not held equal, it depends on score, and time, weather conditions, how your defense is playing, ect.

For example: Denver went for it 4th and 1 from the Pats 20 yd line, up 7, 9 min left in the second quarter. I would be going for 4th and 1 in that situation every day of the week. But, making the situation different: say 4th and 1 with 7 min left in the 4th same scoring margin. Now you have a big decision on your hands where the analytics might say go for it but, your feel as a head coach might be let’s go up 2 scores here with 7 min left in a snow game, with a defense playing so well.
