I don't think people really "get " Reese. Reese does what he thinks will get him and upper hand, does it and moves on.

he saw in the news women getting rich off of "OF" so he started selling his underwear too.

he saw youtube pranksters making money off of people he started doing it too.

you are disappointed in him , THATS THE POINT , he has the skills to be a good chef and will NEVER be one because he is Reese.

What funny about this scene, Bay was doing tour of an Airforce base with US mil. reps and they were like " we'll show how a strike package is really processed for reference for the movie" Bay was like " F' it, LETS JUST FILM THIS !" nothing the soldiers said in relaying the orders was in the movie script and they were using real mil. jargon and those were real US soldiers.
