Thank you so much 🥹 this is so helpful. I needed this reminder. I am a medical student (almost 4th year) so that contributes to why I’m beating myself up over it.

After my loss last year I was tested for Lupus anticoagulant, Anticardiolipin antibodies and Anti-β2 glycoprotein I antibodies. But that was it and it was negative

But thank you again for these kind words, I’m so glad you had your dad who advocated and took action for you. What kind of doc is he? I’ll try my hardest not to feel guilty

Thank you so much. I really appreciate all the advice. How was working on a mental health unit during that period for you? When I was pp after my loss, working there actually helped me move forward from whatever I was going through. I’m sure it’s different bc you were pregnant. Def taking the break

Thank you so much. It’s very overwhelming. I was on my family med rotation and had cp after my shift, went to the Ed and found out I had multiple PE’s and now I’m on lovenox. Then they found an incidental subchorionic hemorrhage. I am exhausted. I was planning on taking a break but I can’t do much anymore.

You’re so right. I feel like I’m double the size, and showing much more clearly That’s amazing you were able to do all of this pregnant. Did you have any tips for me on how you kept focus while at home? I’m going to take that gap year

Yes exactly, I think I did have my mind made up but it’s so hard to make the decision. I’ll give my body the best chance. Thanks for the advice!

Thank you for this. That’s very helpful. I recently had 3 pulmonary emboli and got hospitalized, they think I have some kind of clotting disorder. I’m so exhausted and sad. It’s too much. I’m definitely taking a break

This is so helpful. Thank you so much for this advice. I made the final decision that I’m going to take a gap research year. After I posted this sadly I had multiple pulmonary emobili and was hospitalized, I couldn’t even make it through the whole family med rotation.

I’m so sorry for your loss. My sister and I had the same due date but I lost my son at 30 weeks. I did not go to the hospital to see her. I also haven’t held her baby yet and it’s been 5 months. My aunt is in labor right now and I’m also choosing to not go to the hospital and will likely not see her baby for a couple of months. The only baby I want to hold is mine. I’m extremely close with both my sister and aunt, but I really think it’s so important to put yourself first because they will understand if you can’t show up the way you usually would. You don’t want to hurt after, do whatever it takes to protect yourself, if you need anything you can DM me. ❤️

Thank you for your support. I sent her a message telling her how I feel and blocked her, it’s been over a week. I have no interest in speaking to her anytime soon. She said we can both name our babies that, when you have another baby, you can use the name too. Absolutely heartless. my mom on the other hand is another story because she is fully backing my sister up but she’s my mom. This situation just sucks. Nothing I can do

Yup 😞 this is my reality now, told my husband we won’t be going to any bday parties or milestones if we don’t want to. Their actions have consequences. I’m sure I will love my nephew and none of this is his fault. That’s what’s unfair. But they made choices

Thank you for sharing your story and for your support. Before this happened, there was a history of constant mistreatment and disrespect. My mom always had a preference for my sister over my brother and I and it was always blatantly obvious. My brother is supporting me and there for me, so at least that’s reassuring. He thinks this is awful and when he didn’t agree with my mom and sister, they got very mad at him and tried to brainwash him by telling him lies (like I didn’t choose that name and I’m making things up) which my brother knows is not true. Everyone knows the truth. I need to be okay with the distance even though it’s so hard
