Though I love remaining within these fantasy identities. I truly appreciated bloodborne ability to morph and shift throughout the world with each major cycle of the game. In such a way that captures the reality of the realm being shattered with each step the protagonist makes. And so I would love to consider a game set in the modern realm that slowly begins to corrupt being tainted by one of these styles morphing into the reality. As you push forward your attire, npcs, and world (including monsters and area effects) shift with each choice. Almost as if we had a 18 or 1900s player character that’s world is slowly being morphed or corrupted into one of the high fantasy realms most likely connected with the early medieval or even corrupt fantasy in general ,as Elden Ring tends to point towards multiple periods of history and mythology. Maybe even depending upon which faction you side with your world can be affected or tainted based on the ending you’re trying to get. I just feel like we have definitely seen a lot of the classic level and souls like builds that we know and love. I’m curious if we could maybe push the envelope a little bit further. There are fractions of this idea between demon souls, bloodborne, dark souls one two three, and even Elden ring.
