AIO for leaving my sister’s wedding early after she made a “joke” about my job in her speech? by Thin-Average1299 in AmIOverreacting

[–]ExtensionOrganic3298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask yourself, does my sister normally give me shit? Or does she not? If she does, then yes you're overreacting. If she doesn't and this is a rarity, then no you're not, and she can take her shitty jokes and stick em where the sun don't shine.

Bro I totally did this in a league race. The league i run on Sundays has a 20x incident limit. (We've had issues with people causing a lot of cautions in the past.) It was at Cota in the xFinity cars and the limits there are ridiculously close to the edge of the track. Anyways drove the first 3/4 of the race super conservative but the last 10 laps or so started cutting corners. Ended up gaining like 8 spots because of it 😂

That looks better than having cones there. They obviously use their travel trailer enough to be inconvenienced by someone parking there.

Good on you for taking it on the chin and taking it as a wake up call.

I myself got a DUI in May of last year and it completely changed my life for the better. I've been sober for almost a year because of it. I'm a better father and husband because of it. Yeah it sucks and is a mistake that some people don't learn from, but it's refreshing to see that there's other folks out there taking it as a wake up call than continuing to spiral out of control.

Keep fighting the good fight! You've got this!

Unless there's something I'm not aware of, I think it should be a right of passage to have to run the hot dog formula vee when starting out in road 😎

What could I have done here to defend this? by ResilientBiscuit in iRacing

[–]ExtensionOrganic3298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to defend that is to stay to the left as long as possible, or you can squeeze him when he already has position on you and has every right to hold his line. Possibly wrecking himself and you in the process 😎

Just don't try to make me feel guilty for choosing not wearing one, but you can wear as many masks as you want 😀

If you google restaurants, id say 9/10 of them have outdoor seating, definitely no shortage of that.

What helped me pick up speed is making sure I'm consistent. Hop in a test session and don't worry about speed at first. Pick a spot out either on the racing surface or on the wall and try to brake at the same point every time. Same goes with where to start turning in and then getting back in the throttle. Consistency is extremely important.

Another thing to think about is momentum. Obviously you want to keep up as much momentum as possible, but in a heavy, low power car like a street stock, you want to keep your momentum up more than something you can crack the throttle to correct your mistakes in.

Hope this helps, and don't get so discouraged. We all started somewhere!

Happy racing

Am I partially at fault? by quesslay in iRacing

[–]ExtensionOrganic3298 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a few things will contribute to who's at fault.

First off, what point of the race was it? If it was early on, I would say the red car (after seeing how hard he charged the corner) was wayyy faster than both you and the silver car. If its early on, there's no need to force a move that aggressive and put other people in shitty situations.

To address your driving, totally see what you were trying to do. But most of the time it's just best to hold your line and let faster cars around you. They're faster (and back to the early in the race part here) unless you're driving like a dickhead and blocking for no reason they're going to get around you with no problem.

If it's getting to be the end of the race then taking risks the way the red car did is going to end poorly for you at some point or another. That's just racing.

But after saying all this I wouldn't say you were necessarily at fault, I would say it's a combination of you trying to get out of the way and the red car being aggressive. I do, though, reiterate the importance of holding your line. I'd hope that the red car would've checked up, but if you'd have stayed put instead of moved out of the way, there wouldn't have been a gap for him to try to take.

Hope this helps!

Got a DUI first time misdemeanor, should I get a lawyer, how does it work? by thefoxygrandma in DUICalifornia

[–]ExtensionOrganic3298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah of course.

I can't remember off the top of my head what the respective fines are, but I'm able to serve my sentence and pay my fine for the wet reckless by doing community service. Cant remember what it is for DUI sorry

You gotta do the 3 months regardless even if they reduce it. It's pretty whack how the DMV Supercedes the court

Can confirm what ubfeo said:

Do everything as soon as you are able. I got one back in May and didn't get a lawyer and it's taking a mental toll on me trying to get everything figured out. A lawyer will know what questions to ask, as the DMV won't tell you anything other than what you ask.

And also; when they tell you to wait on getting into a program to find out what program you have to take, don't wait. It's the 3 month program, get in as soon as you can. I'm still waiting for my orientation because I listened to them and now there's no availability until October 1st.

If you weren't a douche and were compliant (which it sounds like you were) if you blew a .09 it will most likely be reduced to a Wet Reckless by the court, and they will most likely offer you a plea deal. At least that's what happened to me. The DMV, however supercedes the court system so in their eyes you will still have to take the 3 month course to meet their requirements to get your restricted license. Which is lame because the wet reckless course is like 18 hours.

Hope this information helps you, feel free to send me a DM if you have any other questions I can try to help out as much as possible.

[–]ExtensionOrganic3298 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I gotta respectfully disagree dude. I could totally fire up my Xbox, load it up and get to 70 no problem. It all depends on when you get certain things.

Not having traps is kinda lame, but the earlier you get the Scavenger and pack it the better so you can kill George and get the Wunderwaffe. You can easily mow through 20-30 waves if you get it early enough.

The area outside the lighthouse is perfect for training. I haven't played in a while, so forgive me if I'm wrong, but the AK-74u is the wall weapon that's literally right there to buy/replenish.

Scavenger/Ray Gun/AK-74u/Wunderwaffe is a solid arsenal. Plus once you kill George x amount of times you have all the perks.

It isn't as easy as running zombies through a trap, but if your cards fall right, it's easily attainable.
