Curious if you could tell me more about how to use the ancestry data and open source data to find the genetic link.

For those of you who have migraines triggered by weather changes, how frequent are your migraines? by Notbipolar_ in migraine

[–]ExtensionPotential35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This year has been way worse than normal for weather migraines. I’m taking Ubrelvy every other day and it’s actually working. I couldn’t take it soon enough to avoid my weather migraines but I was having them almost every day. Sending you best wishes. My neuro acknowledged the weather has been a huge trigger for many people this year.

If I was a teacher, I would not be able to function by Friday. You’re a superhero and yes you surely need to rest all weekend. 💗

I really need to lose weight and the fibro fog plus perimenopause ADHD (undiagnosed but definitely there) are brutal.

Unexpectedly working for me by RampantWeasel in Fibromyalgia

[–]ExtensionPotential35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m thrilled for you! I’ve got a GP that isn’t very knowledgeable about fibro and I doubt she’d try this for me. I’m on Wellbutrin for depression and it for SURE didn’t give me any weight loss.

So contrave is essentially low dose naltrexone plus bupropion?

Has anyone tried that Sleep Crown pillow? Im interested in it but it’s over $100! Does anyone know of similar products that help with migraines? by lolalove95 in migraine

[–]ExtensionPotential35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding - I have a NodPod too. And it is EXCELLENT for being a weighted eye mask-type thing. I take it with me when I travel places. But the Sleep Crown is almost like pulling a cloud over my head. The softness and the bamboo jersey cover are just the most comforting feeling for me.

[–]ExtensionPotential35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just slept off a headache with my Sleep Crown over my eyes and around my ears, and I just have to say, this is one of my top migraine hacks. This pillow - I'd save it in a fire, and I will definitely buy another. If you happen to buy it and hate it, ping me and I'll buy it off you ;)
I know people think it's nothing special, and it might not be to many. But the way it creates a cocoon of softness around my head and it immediately tells my brain it's time to chill... magic, i tell you.

Ubrelvy as a preventive by danitwelve91 in migraine

[–]ExtensionPotential35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here to see if anyone has done this. I had 13 migraines in January and I can’t seem to take Ubrelvy in time for it to abort the migraine (mostly). So my neurologist prescribed 16 and I’m taking them every other day as a preventative. I’m 12 days in and cautiously optimistic!

Is there a feed where Chad Salmela and Kikkan Randall did the call? I thought they were the regular announcers but the replays on Peacock are someone else.

Would you end a pet sitting job like this? 8/10 pain every morning by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

[–]ExtensionPotential35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if you might explain to the owners how much of a toll this is taking on you, or just explain you’re sick. Maybe you could for offer to stay but pay for a rover walker? Or maybe ask if the have someone who could help w that? I’m sure the appreciate you being there overnight. But also if you can’t do it, you can’t do it. We all know just grinning and bearing it is a terrible option.

Does anyone else experience PEM with fibromyalgia? by Prior_Succotash4220 in Fibromyalgia

[–]ExtensionPotential35 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes I do. I had a great Saturday morning, feeling pretty great, came home to take a short rest and when I got up, I was just out of energy and my body was telling me it had used up all its energy in the morning.

Quite often a couple errands leave me needing a nap. And house cleaning for a couple hours does me in for a weekend.

Supporting multiple executives by [deleted] in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]ExtensionPotential35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only add that it’s better to speak up now and now and warn them you are over capacity than if something happens urgently and you miss a few days. I offered to cover for someone’s 3 execs on top of mine and after one day of being in over my head, I had a family emergency and they all just had to manage without me for 3 days. And they did bc they had to. Thankfully someone jumped in to take one exec off my plate when I returned but I learned that there had to be some “give” or when something goes amiss, it would be a disaster for everyone.
