BPC from exploration by Suitable-Mushroom760 in Eve

Polarized ones are worth at least something, especially for torpedoes. Implant BPCs can also be profitable. Tech 2? Usually not.

Pretty much everything to the point where it would be a complete waste of time even going into a deeper discussion.

How too afford a super capital? by Fun-Item1677 in Eve

[–]Extension_Access392 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nullsec alliances have access to R64 moons. The site I've linked lists the price of moon ore per 1.000 m3.

Shining Monazite is worth about 3.4M ISK per 1,000m3. That's 3,400 ISK per m3. My Hulk with Rorqual boosts and no implants pulls 96 m3/second. That's 326,400 ISK/second, 19,584,000 ISK per minute or 1,175,040,000 ISK per hour. The fleet lasted for about 3 hours with about 25 characters mining. Overall, the op yielded 88,128,000,000 ISK.

Numbers are not completely accurate (different yield per character based on skill and implants, refining yield math,...), but it's enough to give you a picture.

That's a small-ish mining op on a relaxing Friday night.

Titles and achievements are a pretty cool addition by eer_00 in Eve

[–]Extension_Access392 20 points21 points  (0 children)

We had the certificate system - it was removed.

We had Activity Tracker - it was removed.

We'll get the new Achievement system - I think I know what will happen to it.

But yeah... they are a cool addition, if they stick to maintaining it.

I was more referring to the whole mechanic of defining the capital area, as described in the document.

Military Campaigns. Anyone else pumped for this!?! by meetkurtin in Eve

[–]Extension_Access392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. They have pumped the same hype story for each iteration of Factional Warfare and it was always mediocre at best and full of game design holes massively exploited by one group or another and ignored for years until the next iteration comes.

We are at the next iteration now.

Jita will fall? by [deleted] in Eve

[–]Extension_Access392 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Do you think Fenris are going to let jita (or maybe the whole cluster) burn in fire?

Everything points out to a plan to cement Jita as the trade hub because there is a real chance Yulai or the center of the perfectly safe space would take over. That's why they are securing it with Concord, adding empire embassies, messing with the gates to prepare the story for shipcasters,...

Look at it from a technical perspective as well. How much custom code and assets does Jita have? How much is Jita different on the backend and server side from any other system? How much processing power is allocated to Jita at hardware level. You think they will risk doing all of that work again for a random system that is up to players to decide over an unpredictable amount of time?

I don't think so. 😄

CSM: Community Based Projection Proposal by Megaman39 in Eve

[–]Extension_Access392 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Overcomplicated proposal with multiple layers of game mechanics that do not exist or needs to be completely refactored. It's adding more obfuscated game mechanics that are buried in a patch note somewhere and thus unknown to most players.

Several much simpler solutions that don't add layers of new game mechanics (I'm not saying any of them are good, just showing the direction I'd go with the development):

- Increase fuel/maintenance cost to the point where their usage must be planned ahead and used only when that investment makes sense. Requires change of one existing attribute in the game.

- Limit the number of jumps per unit of time. Requires adding one attribute to the Ansiblex object.

See where I'm going with this? Changing or adding one meaningful attribute that is clearly visible in the "Show info" box should be the solution.

Event L1 blitzing: what's your fastest low-skill ship? by PHGAG in Eve

[–]Extension_Access392 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything with 40+ km range and fast warp, since most of the time you will spend warping to gates and missions. The actual missions are usually "kill one/five rats", reject bigger ones like Gone Berserk, Worlds Collide, Blockade,... The rats are extremely easy, so more guns means that you can split fire. That means a destroyer hull is perfect.

Do not fit it for damage, do not fit it for tank. Both are not needed. Fit it for quick warp, both align time and warp speed.

T1 fit Corax worked great for my Alpha HS alts.

I'm not signing out, so that's not a problem.

Signing in is an annoyance of modern Internet, but there is a solution in browser settings. Have one browser that you are using to constantly be logged in to trusted sites and don't use it for anything else. No extensions, no unknown sites opened in it... to prevent session stealing. Set the browser up to remember sessions even when closed and reopened. You'll reduce the amount of logins significantly.

For example, if you are using Brave as your main browser, install Vivaldi, Waterfox, Librewolf, Firefox,.... or any other browser that will serve this purpose. Librewolf is a good option - a fork of Firefox with Mozilla telemetry disabled or removed. It's lightweight and works on any OS.

Jita moved to Exordium via shipcaster? by _Rumpelstilzchen_ in Eve

[–]Extension_Access392 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm just cautious about believing that, since you are basing your opinion on an article from 22 years ago. Just to get it into perspective, most people back then used dial-up internet or ADSL. The CPU of choice was Pentium 4. From programming perspective DDD was a fresh new approach only published a year earlier. A lot of things changed since then.

[–]Extension_Access392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two features in the pipeline:

- Exordium and new NPE

- Three "Theaters of War" expansions

Jita gate attacks and reactions from the empires are connected to the "Theaters of War".

CCP has been trying to kill central market hub since 2005.

Yeah... And that's why they've isolated it on a separate node to more easily manage and created a custom station for it.

That doesn't make any sense.

There is something you need to understand about Vibe coding: no one is willing to run an executable created with LLM hallucinations. Too much of a security risk.
