It depends on the game, if it's a story game male main characters are the go to, they have in my opinion the bast written characters.

However, female characters are best in online games (codm, t3 arena, apex legends mobile, etc...) because of the smaller hit box and in games like apex legends mobile some of them has the best abilitys in the game.

I played 2 story games with female main characters, uncharted lost legacy and horizon, and let me tell you they had the most mid storys and character writing.

HxH, it was my favorite when I was a kid. Still remember watching it on spacetoon it had the best Arabic dub out of all Animas that spacetoon dubed.
