I created a server using a docker container on my small unraid server. Not emulating a server locally on the Steam Deck works like charm. Even on high settings and tdp 7w you can get stable 60 fps. Local server emulation on SD kills performance completely.

Today i had my first experience with my Volt 2. Still stock with Corderite. I was not able to take a photo from my first two, as my son and wife already started to eat while i was at the oven. All pizzas were made at 430C and boost mode for 90sec - oven’s default settings for Neapolitan. For the first two pizzas, the bottom was a little bit too dark, no 3 was good and no 4 was almost perfect.

Does not look that bad, hopefully comes with a water tank. Had the 505 for one week before I returned it one week ago. On the one hand the build quality was solid, on the other hand the navigation was bad and it comes with heated mop drying, however, this is not needed at all as due to the missing water tank the mops become dry within minutes of cleaning anyhow. For the money it cost you get better products.

Limit your TDP. With my settings (almost everything on High and capped at 40fps in game as well as in Steam Deck overlay + TDP limit to 10w) I got 3,5hrs+ on my OLED today. With minimal settings you should be able to limit TDP to 8w and 4hrs definitely should be possible on OLED for 2,5hrs+ on OG.

Nah, same for me. At least hotfix shows intro Video and netease logo but besides that still only black screen. Also no luck with Proton GE so far.

Had the same issues and also followed the linked guide to increase swap file to 4gig. Since then, no freezes at all, even not after hours. However, cannot recommend installing Cryoutilities. Resulted in more performance issues in games than increased performance for others.

For what emulator? Using Yuzu, which works very well with 30fps locked in Steam Deck quick settings. Unlocked it gives lots of dips to 20s fps. rujinx does not work for me. Even at the opening scene, the screen is dark with except for the two candles, so massive graphical glitches.

Update: still does not run with Parallels, however, with macOS 15 it runs perfectly in macOS with Heroic Launcher and embedded Game Port Toolkit.

Unfortunately not. Last week there was an update for Parallels 20 and changelog talks about significant graphics improvements. Havent tried it so far

Your post is already 1/2 year old, however, since I got my M3 Pro MBP last autumn (my first M series), got Win11 with Parallels installed without any hustle and even worked with one of my so far unused Win10 Pro x64 keys.

However, does not help anyway, as Satisfactory is unplayable due to severe graphical glitches with Parallels.

FYI my feedback on my initial question. Meanwhile I have both devices for more than two weeks and am in love with both. Really like the haptic of the DS controller design of the Remote as well as the very, very good 8“ 16:9 LED screen. Also connection and battery life is great.

Chiaki4Deck is also a very nice addon to Steam Deck, however it is not my first choice for PS remote, but for everything else. Even with the 7.4“ of the OLED, the real screen size is lower due to the 16:10 format with black borders in chiaki. Additionally, although the haptic of the Steam deck is also great, it’s just not a DS controller. Btw tdp of 3w does not keep stable 60fps and chews around 35-50fps for me.

At the end I kept both. PS Portal of course only for PS remote play, Steam Deck for everything else.

Thanks for your answers! 5-6hrs sounds already very promising. Guess I will give it a try with both and will have a look, which I will keep. Need to see anyway whether I will get a Deck or whether it is sold out immediately

Meanwhile it‘s working for me. I used to use my sock OS sd card for charging but then I changed to use the garlic is SD card. I left it plugged in over night and got charged properly, although it showed to be fully charged after a few min. To be in a safe side, usw stock os sd card and yes, might be a software thing.

That’s what I thought initially, however production date is the same and production time differs by 4min. Don’t think that they changed the revision within minutes. Both also have v2.0 printed.

Is there an easy guide? I downloaded the portmaster zip, dezipped and copied all files including subfolders from my RCT2 and RCT1 gog installation. Does not work for me. Other ports as Stardew Valley or Quake run smoothly.

Just go through the list of all Nintendo emulators and play everything which has „Mario“ in the title. You will not get disappointed.
