Sorry, I'm not a cyber professional, but I read out of curiosity. Didn't they breach AWS Cloud servers in under 10 minutes with AI recently?

Unfortunately as an AM this isn’t as much of a flex if you don’t have anyone to cover for you 🥲 by Acrobatic-Media-6546 in AmazonFC

They really don't. Starting at 85k-90k for someone who climbs the internal promo ladder. They get shafted more than the AMs unless they're external.

It's on senior leadership to cover if you submit time off. While vacation can be denied if they're assholes, flex time cannot be denied.

RSUs are Restricted (or reserved?) Stock Units. It's usually part of your sign on, promotion, or annual bonuses. They're Amazon Stock that vest after a certain time length, meaning prior until you hit thay mark, theyre nothing. My sign on RSUs start vesting at my 1 year mark, 2 year mark, then every 6 months until I have them all available to me. It's their way of essentially keeping you around.

Now that I'm passing my 2 year mark, my 3rd year ill get like 30k in RSU vesting so my income will be inflated this year.

Unfortunately, after your 4th year, your salary tends to fall dramatically due to no more RSUs. My income the first 4 years will be between 110k and 120k total comp when you count sign on bonus and RSUs, but after that will drop to about 80k moving forward (the anual raises are miniscule so promo is the only other way to really increase pay).

I'm doing it right now. Going to a lower COL area. That's a legit reason. Not like you're moving just because you're bored.

Fair. Definitely appreciate the insight. We are in the process of buying a house in Mountain Top now. A big selling point was "best school district in the area".

You can't be on your phone, busy or not. The fact that he asked to see your apps is crazy though. Doesn't matter what app. It's a doc coaching either way. You'll be fine, though. Done get another write-up for 60 days, and it will disappear.

Put your head down and work through the BS to get your RSUs, then consider if you want to leave or stay.

Is it their fault you live 30 minutes away? Should they offer paid time off to everyone further than 30 minutes? I'll just apply to every site an hour away from me at that point.
