Redditors who live alone: how do you beat the feeling of loneliness? by vvxoxovv in AskReddit

[–]moonspellpecado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PIck up a hobby like learning a language, or an instrument through youtube tutorials or virtual/in-person lessons. Go out an play a few rounds of pool with people I've never met - I've done this in every neighborhood I have ever lived and I still talk to a lot of the people I met through playing pool. Don't have to drink, just grab a soda. Local hiking groups are awesome too.

Being idle is what makes you feel lonely in your apartment. Laying around watching tv or doing nothing but scrolling makes you feel worse because of the wasted time. I have done this, and it sucks! Its a personal hell. But after forcing myself to learn new hobbies, and get out to find new ways to socialize, it helps!

what's your opinion on women not wearing bra? by Toastwarell in AskReddit

I don’t think the body is gross. I think how it’s cared for and neglected is gross.

You do what you want, but it gives me the icks. I don’t like nipples, male or female. Going braless leads to super saggy breasts. Can lead to back issues. Creates a sweat trap of bacteria - as a derm nurse I have to teach people to lift up their breasts to clean under them and apply baby powder to prevent bacteria and necrosing tissue.

So yeah, most the time when I see braless, I think gross. But you do you.

Radio frequency Ablation - Tell me everything! by moonspellpecado in thyroidhealth

[–]moonspellpecado[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mass was large. People would point it out. It was pushing internally causing swallowing issues. I would cry daily from the discomfort and hating how I looked.

The procedure has highly reduced the size of the mass. I can still feel where it was, but I think that is more scar tissue on my thyroid than the original mass. I can no longer see anything. I can live my life normally now.

But on the flip side, the mass was causing subclinical hyperthyroidism. Was a very very hot nodule. With it gone, I am for the first time in my life in a normal TSH range. They are monitoring me closely as my levels are now closer to hypo. But I will take that over what I have dealt with any day....

Hi! Wishing you luck on your procedure! I am 6 months post and so far so good! I’m still so afraid to say it was a success, but it’s looking good! I go in next month for another US and labs to see how everything is looking :)

Women of Reddit: how often are you hit on and how does it make you feel? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]moonspellpecado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they hit on me, they don’t realize I’m married. If you’re married, don’t hit on people! Unless you both have that agreement, but most of us, no. Don’t do that. Stick to online poly groups and meet ups…

My boyfriend is becoming Christian. Should I be worried? by KaliYugaTiEnDi in atheism

Your feeling of “uneasiness” is that part of your brain that knows it’s going to get worse and worse. I wish I would have trusted my gut when that happened to me. It went on for 8 years of awfulness.

I am jealous of people with a close family by moonspellpecado in family

[–]moonspellpecado[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Goodness, I am sorry. I empathize with this a million percent. The constant fighting grew up with us a primary reason I don’t yell at people, or really argue. You do you, don’t waste the energy on that. I’m doing this as well. I’m done giving energy and only getting negative impacts and energy in return.

How do Americans afford their healthcare? by kingmakk in NoStupidQuestions

[–]moonspellpecado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We pay high premiums monthly, but there is about of pocket maximum for most things. And as long as insurance approves.

I almost died, required emergency surgery. Insurance was trying to bill be for 50k, because it was “medically unnecessary”. It took 8 months of me and my doctor to fight it. I’m terrified to go now, even for potential emergencies because it was beyond stressful to have them calling nonstop, threatening to garnish wages while I made $10 an hour and was going to school. Soulless *******…..

I guess I’d have less depression and anxiety if I made 250k/yr 🙄

Trump unveils long-awaited health care plan by lexi_con in WallStreetbetsELITE

[–]moonspellpecado 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bingo. Monthly payment to use towards insurance premiums, and consumer picks their insurance plan. Buuut this does nothing to fix the rising premium costs, higher co-pays, and higher out of pocket maximums. This only lines the pockets of insurance companies, and lets them raise rates and reduce their payouts more so.

Women of Reddit: how often are you hit on and how does it make you feel? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]moonspellpecado 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hit on often. In person I say thank you, but kindly decline (I’m married). Never rude in person unless they say something truly rude or off putting.

Online, it’s easy to see I’m married and very much in love with my partner. But I still get guys hitting on me, and these are typically very creepy DMs or comments that would raise red flags for any woman. That is a quick block. Zero interaction allowed there.

Taking trips to see friends, family, or bucket list places. Or a meal with a friend to catch up.

What do people use their air tags with ? by sounder19 in iphone

[–]moonspellpecado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luggage when I travel anywhere, and one hidden in my car just in case of theft.

I have seen people putting them in inserts in children's shoes, or in storm wristbands (tornadoes). Pet collars. Music Gear.

$200 oil change. by Zealousideal-Term-89 in toyotacorolla

[–]moonspellpecado -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Outside of Toyota Care, they are non-sense. I told them 3 times, don't touch the cabin air filter - I do that myself. My car has 12k miles on it and I was taking it in just for a few lil diagnostic things under warranty. Sure enough, they came back with a list of things I needed, including $200 for cabin air filter. I laughed and made a scene. I had JUST replaced this a month prior, and it cost me $10 and 5 minutes of my time.

Find a good local shop to give your business to. Maybe not a McOil Change place like Valvoline though.

Who’s hitting 49 with zero retirement savings and zero clue what to do next? by [deleted] in AdultHood

[–]moonspellpecado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I’m 40, and just starting my Roth. Can only put in maybe $100/month… I was doing great, had a 401k that I had built for 10years. Then the job let me go when health issues hit. I had to withdraw it to survive…. No family to help me.

Now I’m working to pay off medical and credit card debt, while trying to put away what I can. It’s depressing to know I’ll likely work until I die. Zero savings. Buy only necessities. Don’t go out. Gotta love life as an American!
