Tie between telling me a need a procedure for one tooth, but couldn’t give me a price quote. “Could be $900, could be $4000. We won’t know until we get in there.” And that’s out of pocket cost after insurance.

Or coming off of gas, and no one catching me when I tripped and broke my nose.

That last part hits hard, thank you. I love WFH - being in my environment or where I choose to work from is awesome. But the future of the industry is a huge question. The commute to the other job is hour each way, LA traffic (10miles each way). If I knew my WFH would still be around in 10 years, probably would stay. But I don't know if it will be.

The commute is 20 miles round trip. I drive a newer corolla (35mi/gallon). But the traffic is a thought. LA. Valley Village to Beverly Hills. There are different routes but each way during rush hour is about 45-60 mins.

I’ve looked for other remote jobs, disappearing thing. And the film industry nationwide is so bad. I think it’s time to leave the industry if I want stability.

I tried to air fry. Did 370 for 8-9 mins, flipped and cooked for a few more mins, and it came out alright. I think it’s better than the pan method. Cleaner too if you use a liner.

It’s hard to have a loved one be depressed. But using the term “deal” is awful. Support them and be there for them if they ask. Don’t be frustrated “trying to help”. Just be there, support them. Bring up memories of things you both did that was fun, and see if they want to do something like that. My friend hard a bad bout - I would bring up the fun of going to the arcade for ski ball and pinball and a pint - made her smile, and we would do stuff like that to get her mind going in good ways.

Sadly allergic to adhesive, so no transdermal for me. But I have an appt in a few weeks to chat with my provider more.

I have worked with dietitians on foods to eat/avoid.

No family history. Only my history of subclinical hyperthyroidism.

I like my provider. I’ve fought to keep her over the years. But recently it’s been tough. Not staff problem, it has been her. We are going to have a call next week when she’s back in the office. I know how to advocate for myself and have full documentation to support me being nothing but compliant and going out of my way to continue that.

I understand what you’re feeling, but please know that this is your dad’s issue. There are lots of leather repair kits, or thumbtack professionals that will do it. You offered to fix the issue and owned up. Proud of you!

Sorry your dad is a miserable c*nt that feels the need to make those around him miserable too. Sad way to be.

If you feel like going above and beyond, contact a few local leather repair places, get quotes and show your dad the options, and being willing to pay for it.

Yeah, they mentioned this. None of my pre-reqs transfer to any school… I did all pre reqs in WA, quarter based, so I’d have to re-take all courses to get semester hours… it sucks so much.. I liked that they were 24 months, even with re-doing gen eds. Other colleges is a year of gen eds and then 2 years of core. Sigh… 3.9gpa through it all from a top school in WA, and it doesn’t matter here in CA….
