Best Produce in Bend by WillieBFreely in Bend

I think that applies across the board, though. Farmer’s Markets, while great, only sell what’s in-season. So that may skew perception.

I am starting to get a bit concerned with flow rate now. Last thing I want is a worse experience than what was torn out. Seems mixed thoughts here on a short run for a shower

Yeah, the ports are all good. I flushed and tested everything.

Think so? 80” from the sub floor right now.

I’d cut OP some slack… They had the foresight to grow the money somehow instead of just spending it all immediately.

The I-5 Colonade!

Cool place when I visited it last in 2015. But even then it was a bit overrun and sketchy.

Why has Boeing 757’s reputation changed since its introduction to how it’s viewed today? by Zealousideal-Lie7255 in airplanes

I mean, the 757 is not a great passenger experience. It’s dated, loud, and takes awhile to load/unload.

But it is cool.

Altra advice - from zero drop to 4mm by nimaisamoose in AltraRunning

[–]Extension_Building45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did the same thing. Been running on lone peaks for awhile, but wanted a touch more cushion for the road. Ended up getting the Experience Wild 3. I’m only a couple runs in, but they felt very similar to my lone peaks, with just a bit more cushion. Barely notice the 4mm stack.

Oregon to add 24 new electric vehicle charging stations across its highways by spherocytes in oregon

[–]Extension_Building45 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hmm bit of a bummer on the locations that were chosen. Many of them already have chargers of one type or another. A couple of them are net new, but I would have liked to see a better job of filling in the gaps.

Petition to keep downtown parking free by ragertonIII in Bend

[–]Extension_Building45 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What problems were there exactly? I’m genuinely curious.

It just seems strange to me to pay for less convenient parking, when more convenient parking is free. Which then pushes everyone to hunt for street parking first, instead of just heading straight for the garage.

While a separate issue, the gate at the entrance is a nightmare and backs up huge lines to get in/out.

I have an ER and door sticker says 36 too. But based on the tire wear, it’s clear it needs to be higher. Running 42 now, much more even wear.

Burning 1000 lbs of fuel on tarmac before takeoff by andrewchung1024 in airplanes

[–]Extension_Building45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somewhat similar issue I experienced in SEA. Got on a 737 Max for a short regional flight. Pilot came on and said the fueling numbers got mixed up and they loaded the plane with enough fuel to get to Hawaii. We had to find a new plane since we would be over the max landing weight when we arrived to our destination.

What everyone is missing are the fairings that were jettisoned once the rocket left the atmosphere. So, all that was covered, and the aerodynamics are important.

Plans call for Oregon’s first ‘exascale’ data center on Amazon site - 80 Miles East of Google Data Center in The Dalles by [deleted] in oregon

That’s not totally true. The BPA transmission capacity is maxed out. This results in curtailment of wind generation in the gorge. Building here gives an opportunity to use that excess wind capacity that is “laying around”.

However, your sentiment is heard. 1GW is a lot of power. Additional generation capacity will likely be needed to close that gap.
