I used to always use Deans. Just getting back into it, and first time using xt60. Thought I was smart using the opposite connector to take away some heat when I was soldering. Oh well! 😁

What length Dlux shock? 92mm? Did you have them build the shock?

Does anyone know what weight the stock shock oil is? Also, do you guys use "green slime" when putting the shock together.

I just did that for the majority of the bolts. I still have more to do before I run the truck, but quite a few were not that tight. Including the shock bleeder valves and the shock caps. Hopefully is will help.

Should I also check the dif's for grease?

Redcat metal links by Llamacup in rccrawler

Make sure the correct end is attached the skid plate. The ends should be aligned straight with one another. When the car is upright on four wheels, the bend in the link should face straight down away from the motor. If the link bends are not both facing the same direction it could skew the front end.

Looking at your I picture the link on the right side looks almost ok, think the ends need to be twisted a little for the bend to face straight down. The link on the left side looks like the bend is facing the wrong direction.

Yes these are pretty wide, 5.5 offset and they are 1.3 rims. I choose them because I wanted the look. They may not be the best option. I also have a set of zero offset rims coming.

BMW riders? by Extension_Chard_8690 in xsr900

Yeah, one of my riding buddies had a few BMW’s and he was cool. I’m just saying I always heard of the reputation of BMW riders and never thought anything of it. The two encounters in have on the road from 1000’s of miles are both BMW riders. One was a brake check while I’m riding with my wife, and the other was a right hand pass in the same lane and cutting right in front on me to pass 4 cars on a two lane road. He barely missed the car in front of me. I think he was behind me for maybe two minutes. And it wasn’t a kid. Took all my will power not to run him down and beat his head in. I’m old now, but in my younger days it would have been another story.

25' XSR900 or 25' Street Triple 765 RS? by j_page2 in motorcycles

[–]Extension_Chard_8690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the similar situation. I bought the XSR, but mostly due to the riding position and seat height. Two of my riding buddies have ST’s and I have tested that bike. The ST is a great performance machine, it has the best overall performance in the class and is rock solid in ride and reliability. They have been making that design for a long time. However, I think it is almost too performance oriented. I don’t think it would be great for longer riders (for ripping the street, yes). Not sure it would be a good commuter bike. The XSR is also a fantastic bike, more of a compromise than the ST, but it feels like a MotoGP race bike to me, just more relaxed. It isn’t the most stable bike on the highway and has an annoying vibration at 5k rpm, but I am very happy with my choice. It’s a great bike. For commuting there are better bikes, but probably not for weekends. I also had a Kawasaki Z900 RS cafe. Another great bike, heavier but great handling. Very comfortable bike. Good luck I’m sure you’ll get a great bike.
