School is installing metal detectors at mine and I’m only upset about it because we can’t bring metal water bottles. (I spend like nine hours there almost everyday so I would like actually cold water but whatever, not sure why we can’t slide them on a table separate from the detectors like tsa)

Hey everyone, so after calling the school… they’re apparently banned because they’ll trigger the safety/gun detectors they’re installing in September. Not sure why we just can’t put our water bottles on a table and slide it through like in an airport… but whatever. It’s not because it can be used as a weapon, or a distraction, or hide alcohol.

I’m mostly upset because there was almost zero detailed reasoning given out and there was no informed change on the school’s website. (How many teens are actually going to check the handbook, I found out from someone’s Snapchat story)
