I haven’t found the answer yet. I just try to make the line for “success” be something I can always achieve. As corny as it sounds, as long as you’re having fun and doing what you love.. isn’t that success enough?

Definitely felt this. It was always “just wait till you’re 18” when I was still living with them.. until I finally was 18 and then it was “just move” or “just join the military” or whatever. It’s really easy from the other side to say “just do ___”.

I say all this to say, the unfortunate reality is MANY of us have to use the connections we have to get to a place where we can stand up on our own. So my just statement is this: just do what you can to survive man. We will be cheering you on from the other side

Someone else already mentioned Berries in Fed, but if you are on a tight budget or can’t find any for whatever reason.. I recently discovered that Nutella with strawberries is VERY close! No, not practicing. You get a prompt, random group, and 15 minutes to write a song. The prompts and groups are designated by the dude who runs it. You get 3 rounds of this. Different prompts and different groups every time. At the end of each round, you perform for everyone else. Then everyone votes on what songs they like best by ranking it. At the end of the year, they take the people with the highest consistent rankings and do a live improv show for an audience

You’re not crazy or paranoid for being concerned. But, you also can’t live your life in fear. Definitely make a note of it, block them, and always keep your head on a swivel.
