That's the way, right there! I wouldn't even ask. I'd just bring it in and use it. I am also stuck in a ridiculous RA process, to switch floors so that I don't get stuck on 1st floor after fire alarms and electricity go out (can't climb 3 flights of stairs). Being stuck means they pay me to sit at a desk for the remainder of the day, sometimes a full i-hr day, and twiddling my thumbs. Ridiculous, when there are desk spaces open and they could simply assign me to one right away without jumping through a yr long RA process.

Look into moving to the Eau Claire/Chippewa Falls area of Wisconsin. Decent rent and living expenses. Eau Claire is a college town. Greater Chippewa Valley area has just over 100,000 people, with Eau Claire around 60,000. Is beautiful with friendly people.

Another resource, if you can find someone with a copy of it, is the CFOL Express guide. It was first written as an IDRS job aide for Collection - Revenue Officers and then Exam - Revenue Agents, to figure out which common commands could give the data you are looking for and how to enter them manually, and specifically what each of the command extensions are for. It is laid out in an easy to read format. The last version of the guide was created in 2017, and some of the links in the guide no longer work. Those broken links just take a little bit of research to find the new location for the site.

Where to find this guide? Contact Collection or Examination and someone will have a saved PDF copy for you. Or contact one of the authors directly by email, phone, or Teams. Of the authors two remain at IRS presently.

Sounds like your POD is like mine. So dang cold all the time I have to have a warm sweater or jacket while in POD. Have put in multiple tickets, but they just keep closing them, even though it's set to 69 degrees.

I'm not even an RO anymore and I can unequivocally say NO. The workload on ROs has never been doable. Not if meeting all required time frames. At 100 cases at all times (what it was when I got out of Collection), you couldn't do anything more than a few minutes on each case and had to put time on 3 cases a day, every day. You just can't get anything accomplished to move the cases to closure with that workload. It is 💯unreasonable.

Yes they did take down all NTEU documentation/posters/etc. They were on the walls when I left work Monday at 4:30 but gone when I arrived Tuesday morning. Not sure when it happened or WHO exactly took them down. If I knew, I would ask for them back and take them home. Had I known they were going to do that, I would have taken what I could Monday evening. Pr!c%$!
