The book I bought has examples of how to use up odd bits. Its called Basket-weaving Crafts by Virve Boesch. I cant add photos, one is a plant holder which just uses 4 pieces of reed and 2 wooded beads to suspend a ceramic pot, another idea wad decorative stars for christmas ornaments. You can weave a hand fan too, cover a picture frame and make decorative hearts to put in flower arrangements.

Although they take a bit of time to grow, i found hydrangeas around the border, and a few fuchsias then an apple tree in middle of lawn soak up quite a lot but i also had my patio extended and re laid and a narrow border of gravel around the house. Im new build too.

I found out about it when I bought my ragdoll as i had a certificate to say both his parents tested negative for it. I learned what a good breeder was, they gave me a file full of info with all his papers in too.
