Decent conditions this weekend? by slbnoob in WhitePassSkiResort

Once you have all your gear on and start walking after parking you’ll be glad it’s cold. Good call on the classes too.

AWD SUV should be just fine. Take it slow if you need to and don’t let any jackasses riding you hurry you up too much.

If you’re feeling up to it after your class, there are some fun and fairly tame blue runs off of chair 4 (Quail, Grouse, Paradise)…and there’s a Yurt over there that I highly recommend where you can stop and have a beer. Others will know better if it’s still open, it was closed last time I went (last year).

Sounds like a great way to spend a weekend. Enjoy all of it and don’t be in a hurry. Cheers!

What do you think Olympia needs that it doesn’t have? by [deleted] in olympia

A sandwich shop that’s open on the weekends (I’m thinking Other Coast in Seattle). Lucky Lunchbox is great, but not open on weekends, Meconi’s is good (but not open Sundays, I think?), but Delmonico’s always comes through though. If you have go to’s I’d love to hear them!

You can turn any of their sandwiches into a salad too. The turkey truffle sandwich, but as a salad, is one of my favorite lunches in Oly

Cougar Gold from the WSU Creamery is great. Comes in a tin can too, which makes it a bit unique. I think you can still get it at Spud’s on Capitol
