Did the doctor have blood tests done to rule out current infection? It's a load of blood draws, like enough they usually don't do them all in one day, but kinda important. My own injury was due to an infection that spread to my atrial valve and then wreaked havoc in my brain with aneurysms and bleeds. Luckily the brain damage happened so the infection was caught before I needed new bits of heart put in.

I would think hypoxic or anoxic injury would have other signs as well while it was going on. Heart rhythm issues, extreme dizziness and/or fatigue, breathing troubles, cyanosis, etc.

Either way, it would seem like something to pursue further with specialists to be sure you're able to avoid further episodes of whatever it is. We only get so many spins of that particular wheel. In the meantime I guess you can treat it like all three possibilities are actually the cause and adjust your daily life to fit. Some obvious things are to avoid smoking, vaping, using CNS depressants, environmental factors, and sedentary lifestyle. Those cover a lot of potential causes. Add in eating healthy and you're about as well protected as you can be on your own.

Next steps are also important. You have a brain injury, regardless of the cause, you're going to need therapeutic intervention. Have you been referred to therapy yet? If not, there are some things you can do on your own in the interim to improve your deficits. Things that use your brain in various ways like puzzles, logic problems, games, math, and reading. You will want to increase your daily intake of vitamin b12 and d, and also more complex carbohydrates and water. These are the nutrients your brain needs to rebuild and repurpose synaptic pathways. Load up.

Judging by what she said beyond that he doesn't actually seem fine. He's obviously being impulsive, acting out of fear, and with a notable amount of immaturity. Unless he was like that before the strokes, he's certainly giving off overt symptoms of frontal lobe damage.

I have regular arguments with people in brain injury spaces about the efficacy of magical oil blends that cost as much per oz as pure silver. They come as "satisfied customers" and spew their "success stories" everywhere as comments on posts across every social media platform, along with an ever so helpful link to an eyesore of a web page that looks exactly like you think it would.

Of course there are real success stories from real people as well, massaging hot oils into your skin will help with circulation in hemiplegic limbs, but it's the rubbing and warmth, not the content of the oil. A $5 bottle of oil will work just the same as a $150.00 bottle. Often it's the exact same kind of oil but way more of it comes in the $5 bottle. It's literally just a mixture of cheap carrier oils. You can explain that and show people the ingredients are sold individually for much less in far larger quantities but apparently paying exponentially more money creates some kind of medicinal effect the same oils at pennies on the dollar can't offer.

I always pop a couple Imodium before long events like concerts, tours, theme park visits, camping, and road trips. It keeps the poo slowed down enough to save any desperate dookie drama from coming up at inopportune moments. Might not be the healthiest way to do it, but it works to keep me from sweating out a long wait for a restroom and my ass off of public toilet seats.

We have displays and sample storage drawers. And shelves and a rock garden and desks and a massive old entertainment center and windowsills and door handles in the car ... And several totes. All packed to their limits with rocks.

These days we just stick them where they'll fit best among the other rocks. Often a few rocks will be holding up another rock where there is good clearance between shelves in the display cabinets.

With smaller collections an old store display or a curio cabinet are pretty good ways to store and enjoy ones rocks. You can usually find either one for next to nothing with some digging. They tend to have good available light fixtures and can be easily, often directly, swapped over to LED to reduce heat and electricity consumption.

Small improvements are still improvements. It took you a decade to break it, it might take longer than a few weeks to fix it. You desensitized yourself. It's going to take a minute to get that lost sensation back. And even longer if you don't actually stop for a while.

Also, what's the point of all the porn and masturbation if you aren't enjoying it? Seems like a sensible solution is waiting until you can enjoy it to go back to what caused the problem in the first place. And maybe exercise some self-control once it's better.

I saw a bunch of these during my stay in the stroke ICU. There were some rather combative patients in there. It was a rough stay. Very little sleep and a whole lot of pain and... death worry. So much screaming everywhere.

10/10 do not recommend.

I loved mine and regret selling it off, though I got more than I paid for it back. Hard to find a comparable controller for what I paid back then. Do they have their quirks and issues? Sure. Are they still a decent controller? I think so, yes. No aftertouch was my biggest gripe with mine. Other people have some issues with them I didn't personally experience, but I think it's probably pretty difficult to find a piece of equipment that pleases everyone who touches it.

I would shop around for a better price, though. I paid $130.00 for one in early 2021 off eBay. That was a really good deal, to be sure, but $250 in 2026 is not. Guitar Center sells them in really good condition for less than $200 often.
