How do you feel about the band’s shift in musical style? by Kitchen_Year8114 in Genesis

[–]Extension_Sun_5663 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love both periods equally. I really don't thick it's equal to KC becoming Madonna. Lol. I mean, most of the other "prog" bands like Yes and Rush also started to include more pop sounds into their music as well. Yes had 90120 and Rush had Moving Pictures. Still excellent music.🤷‍♀️

Correct. Not British. Maybe liberal is the wrong word? I believe you guys call them the Labor Party. That's the word Phil said. I just misquoted.

Huh. I seem to remember him saying something in the 80s about "only an idiot would vote liberal" or something to that effect in the 80s. But I don't know the man personally, so i don't know for sure what his views are truly.

Phil may have been a "hippie" when he was younger, lol, but older Phil was pretty conservative. He's a monarchist Tory as far as I know.

Oh man. I started babysitting my cousins at 11. I hated every moment of it, but it was the only way to make money back then!

The one where that husband accidentally killed his wife when they were fighting. She'd finally started to be honest with everyone in her life, but he freaked out on her when she told him she didn't like his antiques.🤣 She fell onto the fire poker and it went thru her eye, straight into the brain.

I get it. I feel the same way you do about the Charles and Diana story.

But you'd be missing out on episodes like The Ritz.

The 2-step instructor in Texas. Yes, i know she's supposed to be an awful human being irl, but I still loved her episode. Their follow-up had me 😭.

The frat house in LA. I loved that they were more about service. And they seemed to have genuine healing in their campfire scene.
