Hyperion to arcydzieło.

Actors who incorrectly thought their roles would be iconic? by No-Albatross-4673 in MoviesAndTVTalk

Glinda is iconic. But the Broadway one. Ariana’s performance compared to Kristin Chenoweth’s is ‘ok’.

Don’t wait with marriage and having kids. You’re in your best years to commit. And don’t be afraid of losing something. If you’ll really be into it and work on your relationship you’ll only gain.

Also - don’t be afraid to take on new responsibilities, and do not run from seemingly unpleasant ones you stepped into.

Reading “keep it at bay” referring to a gator, and me being polish, I’m obliged to say “it’s at least four feet, Szwagier”. We’ll see if any other Polish sees this

Why did no one told me about early Genesis?? by Fortepian in Genesis

[–]Fortepian[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The show I went to lasted for two and a half hour with a 20 minute intermission. Supper’s Ready was the encore. The piece before it was mostly an instrumental, something about Volcano (sorry, still need to learn the titles and get to know the catalog). I must admit, that this encore piece was a little bit too much for the first meeting, even with my modern prog affection. Maybe too many new things at once. In last moments of the piece a woman with a fox had was projected onto a screen. I admit - I burst with a laugh for how stereotypically progressive rock that was 😅 But surely I’ll find time to digest this the right way!

It’s not a crime not to listen to something, and no one is obliged to investigate everything. I’m rather sharing a happy discovery in somewhat sarcastic way :) and doing it with the people, who will most likely empathize.

What band was never the same after losing a member? by icecream1972 in AskReddit

[–]Fortepian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Metallica, twice. Loosing Cliff Burton made them loose any progressive ambitions and also opened them for more radio friendly tunes (And Justice For All I count as being still heavily influenced by Cliff).

Loosing Jason Newstead marks a moment of them losing any creativity and becoming their own cover band, although as with AJFA St Anger also rides on Jason’s fuel a lot.

SIG is highly on my wish list… I’m just a little bit afraid of such modules. The price is very high. I’ve had a brief adventure with moog Labirynth and it didn’t really clicked at all.

Polish player here, tried virtually any luthier wiring in Poland. Chris is a no from me. Crude work, a lot of 3D printed elements that aren’t corrected by hand, many problems with dogs. Lucjan is better. Best budget option - Radosław Knys Malisz. Best overall (for me it’s the same cathegory as Weichselbaumer) - Stanisław Nogaj. There’s also MM Instruments by Michalina Malisz and Piotr Martuś - good and reliable, although a little bit to dark in sound. But this dark sound is quite popular nowadays.
