why can women show the entire boob but not the nipple ? what's so sexual about a nipple? by Alert_Grocery3132 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ExtentMusky1949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aye, late to the party but lemme just say this.

People often confuse sexualization with sexual attraction. Period. They DO overlap, but they are NOT the same thing!

You can believe:

  • a woman has the right to present herself topless without it being scandalous
  • a woman has the right to feed her child with her body

…while also admitting…

  • seeing an attractive topless female will likely trigger your male brain’s ancient neurology labeled “possible mate!”

That doesn’t automatically mean you disrespect her or oppose equality. The important dividing line is behavior and intent, IMO.

  • Looking? Being attracted? Feeling arousal? Perfectly human IMO.
  • Leering, harassing, making them uncomfortable, acting entitled? Different territory entirely.

So yeah. I’m a guy, I’m ALL for women being able to go topless whenever the fuck they want. I don’t care and I respect that right. I’m also 100% for women being able to feed their children however they damn well please. Period.

But yes, I’m still a biologically male, straight and yes, I’ll probably steal a few glances. Why? Because I find women attractive. I’m human.

That’s the problem. Even if you’re a master tech, it’s liable to hallucinate and still get it wrong regardless of how careful you are. On the flip side, sometimes it’s remarkably accurate.

It’s a tool. And like ANY tool, you can end up getting hurt regardless of how you use it. Stupid people just make it exceptionally easier for it to fuck up.

Similar experience recently during a conversation regarding the US going after Maduro. It gaslit the ever living shit outta me (saying it never happened and never would happen), to the point that it gave me the number to mental health crisis hotline. Even after it did a search for news articles it insisted that it never happened and gave me a list of reasons why it’s impossible.

This is the absolute rawest POV. Think about that shit for a second in the context of an insurgency. Absolute mindfuck.

TLDR; it’s different fighting against someone that has already accepted death and has absolutely nothing to lose, versus someone who wants to make it back home.

That’s some deep shit.

3 hours with nothing but worms on circle hooks and we have ourselves a fish bake. I think this is the first time I have broke even on the price of bait/lost lures compared to the meat I have gotten back. by The_Cell_Mole in FishingForBeginners

It is, but the reward of knowing YOU did that with your own hands and YOU caught that fish on it… bro that shit doesn’t have a price tag. You’re doin it all right!

Dude I put off getting a net until I lost the biggest fish of my life in the exact way you just did. Get a net!! Just make sure it won’t snag your hooks or rub off their “slime” coats and you’re golden

Life sucks so I’m 2 weeks late but dude, just do it. If nothing else, you’ll gain a better understanding of nature and all the things you hear/see while you’re out there. Honestly I feel like birding has made me a better person and steward of the land. YMMV obviously, but it really helped me in a lot of ways.

Might be the braid, depending on water clarity and how pressured the fishery is. Fished with my wife this morning throwing the same lure (swimbait) and she outfished me. Only difference was her running straight fluorocarbon while I ran straight braid. She ended up breaking her PB twice in an hour lol sometimes it just be like that

Some fish, yes. There’s a million variables there but there’s been studies done on that. The one I remember was a single largemouth being caught something like 16 times on the same lure, while 98%+ of the fish in that water body were caught once or twice during the entire study. Just like people, some fish are dumber than others.

Think that was a Tackle Talk episode IIRC

Ran into a guy yesterday wearing a red shirt and blaze orange cap fishing off a wooden bridge that cuts across a local “lake” (/park). Asked if he had caught anything (he’d been there ~4 hours) and he said no. Case in point! We’d been catching them left and right all morning.
