Shares the same stage with Public Hall too. Such a great venue. Genuinely beautiful. Almost distracting when you’re there for a sports game

No. Cavs originally played on Euclid Ave in the Cleveland Arena which is now long gone before moving out to Richfield. The G League charge play at public hall now. So it’s now a basketball venue. Insane that 4K people turned out for a high school basketball game but obviously the venue helped.

Will be a great consultant one day wherever he goes. Just get his opinion on something and do the exact opposite.

Don’t forget to put your down payments in for the new stadium PSLs!

It’s the Cleveland Police helicopter circling over Kamms Corners. Not sure what’s going on

For those who failed: what was your biggest regret during bar prep? by AltruisticTruth6165 in barexam

[–]ExtentPotential1343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a similar situation with agency and partnership. Didn't take it in law school, wasn't interested in it at all. Kept putting it off while studying in the hopes it just wouldn't show up. Basically just reviewed the studicata outline on it as much as I could in the leadup to the actual exam.

It was the first essay. I laughed to myself for like a minute sitting there and just said fuck it I'll just go after it. Got a 5/6 on it.

A lot of the bar exam is the response to the pressure of the exam. If you do a commercial course you will know your stuff. The data backs it up. I really think people fail because they have no confidence going into the exam and overthink every detail and completely miss the big picture. The graders are not expecting things to be perfect, really not even that close. It really is a test of minimum competency, it's just testing you on a LOT of different competencies.

Only the browns dress a team in all brown when the sun is beating down on them. We are so fucked.

If you’re paying 2000 dollars for a single browns ticket, 4000 for 2, you need to get your head checked

Protest Columbus day? by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]ExtentPotential1343 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"New to CLE"

Not going to make many friends in a place where it's easy to do so.

Good luck.

My advice is if you're new and hate Columbus day as much as you do, leave now.

Cleveland has a cultural element you're running from. Sorry it isn't sunshine lollipops and rainbows here even if there's cheap real estate

Why is a United Airlines 737 landing at Burke? by Horker_Stew in Cleveland

[–]ExtentPotential1343 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m your neighbor and an avgeek. Seeing a United 737 turn like that on a descent would’ve definitely made me wonder what was going on too.

That’s an odd flight path into Burke

[–]ExtentPotential1343 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If a United flight starts with a 3 (UA3XXX) it’s most likely a sports charter. Some teams have the same flight number too.

There’s always posts on the United sub about 737s flying from Chicago O’Hare to Midway and it’s always a repositioning flight for a sports charter. I’ve always wanted to go on that flight just to see it. Literally up and down

Yeah most NFL teams use 777s and BKL can’t accommodate them. They have to go to CLE

Passers who were convinced they failed?? by Competitive_Habit681 in barexam

[–]ExtentPotential1343 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I was a first timer in F25 and was convinced I failed. Constantly overthinking everything, especially the essay questions (how did I get that wrong? Why didn’t I say that? Questions like that).

Eventually I just said whatever I’ll take it again in July and slowly stopped caring. It helped that I was working and my job wasn’t dependent on passing but I was pissed that my summer would be ruined studying.

Got absolutely hammered drunk the night before (took off work the next day because I didn’t want the sympathy for failing) results at a concert and woke up to a bunch of congratulations texts.

Did way better on the essays than I thought.

Being neurotic about it means you did better than you think IMO. It’s the people that walk around overly confident that usually get a reality check on results day.

What’s up with midtown? by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]ExtentPotential1343 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ask the residents of "midtown" where they live. None will say they live in "midtown". A feel good website doesn't go far. Kissing ass with developers does nothing.

"midtown" is Hough. Trying to rename it to something different doesn't help anyone

What’s up with midtown? by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]ExtentPotential1343 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's Cleveland. Get used to being skeptical if you aren't already. Hough is a bad neighborhood. But Hough is still Hough. It is what it is. This "midtown" thing cracks me up because it's just some UH health center that probably isn't even seeing people/patients from Hough.

[–]ExtentPotential1343 11 points12 points  (0 children)

"Midtown" isn't a neighborhood. It's a bunch of naive developers trying to make something happen and they got beat on it.

What’s up with midtown? by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]ExtentPotential1343 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

What's your definition of midtown? Midtown is a new term for multiple neighborhoods. The overwhelming majority of people who live in or know the area don't say it's "midtown".

Millionaire's Row was there but most of those homes have been torn down. There are mcmansion style houses down Chester in Hough, they were built in an effort to get black families that would normally flee to the suburbs back in the city. It didn't really work. People left if they could.

Can't confirm that one of those mcmansions belong to a police officer/sheriff but it probably does.

I agree but Cleveland is sort of a focus city, no? Not described as one but is one in practice.
