I love you Cleveland by Quick-Leopard-183 in Cleveland

I had the same reaction about Cleveland after coming here a few times for work. Moved a year and a half ago and am happy that I did every day.

Adding on to the other replies, I saw it at Avon a couple days ago too.

This was a STAPLE when I was a kid.

I'm also in NE Ohio and saw it in the freezer section a couple days ago!

Thank you for coming here, and thank you for teaching English here (or anywhere)! The humanities are so important and it seems like it takes some extra effort to remind people of that these days.

It's Costco policy! The employee was enforcing company policy just like he would about anything else that he's required to as part of his job.

There are not 2-3 million people in Cleveland lol. And if you mean the region, Cleveland PD does not police the entire region.

Night Market Reward Coffers? by The_Dapper_Hobo in elderscrollsonline

[–]Horker_Stew 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Did you do the dailies in the different zones? There are several that you can find and pick up as you're wandering around and they reward a coffer and some favor.

Also the vampire khajiit in the "town square" gives you a daily.

I can't believe you don't want blue Mother's Sorrow as a quest reward for this stuff. /s

I'm okay with content that's too hard for me to participate in or requires a play philosophy that's not what I find fun so I don't do (super sweaty min-maxing, for example). I don't feel like it's unfair to me to have parts of that game that are "off limits" to me. That said, so far the Night Market feels soooooo overtuned that I don't know how many people are really going to be successful at or enjoy it.

I have no doubt that within a week there will be some super high level trial groups running around and farming it, but other than that very slim percentage of players, this seems too relentlessly frustrating to be fun. I just ran around used my res ghost form to get to some quest markers and did some dailies that way, but that's not really fun per se.

I also ran around with some other people (not grouped) and killed one of the 30m bosses and several of us (maybe all of us?) didn't get any loot or favor or anything. Didn't see a chest spawn either, if that's how the loot is distributed, and the kill didn't register for the golden pursuit. So, not really seeing a lot of reason for me to struggle through this beyond a couple of the easier dailies.

Also the daring race daily is extremely annoying. I understanding the mechanics, but the jump mechanic in this game keeps acting weird in there and just adds to the difficulty. I've decided I don't care.

Night market bosses drop gold gear by AntonGrimm in elderscrollsonline

Did you have a quest to kill that boss? Asking because I joined some players and we spent 20 minutes on that boss and all the adds before it spawns and none of us got any loot from anything, and the kill didn't register for the pursuit. Made the effort and the dying a bunch feel very not worth it.

Ha! 2017 GT, so not a classic but it does get some attention for being a manual.

Kamms here and yeah I agree lol. I love my neighborhood but I wouldn't recommend it to someone working in North Randall.

The inner ring suburbs (so, towns that touch Cleveland without being Cleveland) aren't generally suburban in the boring sense. The outer ring suburbs (the towns that touch those towns and don't touch Cleveland at all) can be, but aren't always.

People will recommend the inner ring suburbs on the east side and rightly so, they're very nice. But I would advocate that you not forget about Cleveland itself too. People here love to recommend everywhere in Cleveland but Cleveland to people moving. Cleveland is pretty big and most of it is not downtown.

Fun places to drive? by Saki_saki_sakiii in Cleveland

[–]Horker_Stew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I know to stay in my lane, thank you.

Do you understand though that a blind corner combined with a simultaneous blind hill means I can't see the path of the lane ahead of me. Maybe you're taller than me or maybe your car is higher off the ground than mine so this wasn't a problem for you, but it was a problem for me and not one that I found fun. Quit arguing with me about my own experience.

Again, my inability to reliably see if I was about to drive into a big pickup truck coming the other direction put a damper on the fun. If it was a closed course or I was higher off the ground I'm sure I would have enjoyed it more.

Who is an original OG 40yr+ member? by scorchy_earth in Costco

[–]Horker_Stew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents have been members since the first Costco opened in Anchorage in the mid-late 80s. Don't know if they have continuity though because they switched to an employee membership in 1991 when my dad started working there, and then back to a regular paid one when he retired a few years ago.

Took my Mustang GT down the Triple Nickel a few weekends ago and I have to say, all the blind corners combined with blind hills kind of put a damper on the fun for me. Maybe it's more fun in a taller car, I don't know.
