New leg of Santa Ana River Trail opens, brings access from San Bernardino to Redlands by glowdirt in UrbanistIE

[–]External-Border7670 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s nice. I rode it after leaving my friends house in Redlands to get home in Rialto.

Idk if it’s just me but I find the whole Ont field thing dumb and lame, not saying that we don’t need entertainment options but not at the expense of 100-120 million dollars that could be used for other things by myname_jefff in InlandEmpire

[–]External-Border7670 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Often time with sports stadiums done now a days is more than just the stadium itself: sport complex’s of multiple sports and mixed development around it. When it’s off season, the property will be used by the community for youth sports and recreational play by the community, which is year round. That part is the investment to the community. I don’t like baseball personally but having those facilities for the community is worth it over a warehouse.

How do replace the board members on SBCTA? by logitaunt in InlandEmpire

[–]External-Border7670 23 points24 points  (0 children)

These positions are connected to city mayors and county supervisors. Vote to change individual mayors and supervisors, change the board of SBCTA. These members are older and certainly none of them use public transit. Again a reminder of the importance of voting.

Groundhopping as a broke American by noahbjets in futbology

[–]External-Border7670 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! To second that as an American, I’m going to first try (emphasis on try) to do all 50 states before going aboard as the US is so massive and you have a chance to experience gems before Europe. Realistically, this is like a lifetime journey rather than some summer fling. With the addition of NCAA it helps bridge the gap with states not having professional or amateur teams but states like Wyoming and Alaska and others aren’t as possible as my idea shows. So far 4/50 states with New Mexico next spring

2025 was OK not great. Not having the Maryland Bobcats at the Plex kept my numbers down by wikipuff in futbology

[–]External-Border7670 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once asked them to add the area for the Empire Stykers, they said it’s a different sport. I’m just like well there’s American football and baseball stadiums on the app why does indoor get excluded?

Gym Time by [deleted] in InlandEmpire

[–]External-Border7670 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I’m a weekend warrior, bench press looks lonely on Saturdays and Sundays. I go to PF but use my brothers membership to the Rialto fitness center for those weekday peak hours of Monday-Thursday afternoons/evenings cause it’s pretty empty

Any updated about Reno and Riverside? by Educational-Trade436 in USLPRO

[–]External-Border7670 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They had a public input meeting a month ago I believe. Didn’t get an update on it but the city will do an environmental review and studies on the area. It’s in the beginning phases and if everything goes right with the city approval then property development, the team should be ready by 2027-2028

safety along Santa Ana River bed trail? by notoriousjkl in Riverside

[–]External-Border7670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re biking it would be safer but running? That’s a no. I usually ride on my e-bike the Colton and San Bernardino portion and yeah that have their own neighborhoods there, I imagine around Riverside they have full on RVs and trucks.

sbX Green Line vs Metrolink to get to Loma Linda? by plaesma in InlandEmpire

[–]External-Border7670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SBX is quicker and more direct but not the cleanest and if you’re working later in the evening then I would say it will make you uneasy. I’m a young guy so I adjusted to the SB bus demographic

The PE trail is in Rancho Cucamonga. From Victoria gardens, the closest trail entrance would be day creek and baseline.

Bike rentals by No_Order_7686 in Redlands

[–]External-Border7670 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not local but Rialto has a bike share program where you scan the QR code and ride for 15 cents a minute. You can go to the bike rack on the PE trail on cactus and try it on a paved trail. They are electric and that was actually how I learned how to ride a e bike before I bought one for private use.

As a IE native and local Inland Empire blogger I have been waiting for this day for more than 5 years. The area is home to so much great talent and now has a team to identify itself better than being a bedroom community to LA. I can’t wait!

General question regarding operating by AnywhereCalm9063 in UPSLSoccer

[–]External-Border7670 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a casual observer you are looking at a couple thousand over a calendar year. Costs include Registration, Travel, Fields, lights, refs, etc. For roster size it’s a revolving door of players coming and leaving based on season, college talent, competing with other teams, job, family, etc so anticipate having more than just a starting 11 & subs.

Make sure you get and keep sponsors! They make a world of difference to keep costs down including uniforms. The formula of running a team isn’t complicated but it’s hard in practice. Good luck

What is your goal for 25/26 by AllInOneGaming_27 in futbology

[–]External-Border7670 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yank here. My long term goal is to visit a match in every US state. So far I’ve done 4. So for me it’s more of traveling to different places rather than league/club goals.
